use my short term trading as a counter-indicator and we'd print money
Yeah, me, too.
I am starting to come to the conclusion that significant moves in the market, considered in aggregate over a sufficiently long period of time, are captured in a large part to moves made overnight.
Overnight, as in the market when most retails investors don't have access.
By that i mean, the gains or losses are mostly realized on gaps up or down from the market close on one day to the market open the next. If you lose that, you lose most of the market's ascension or descent.
That would be important for those trying to profit through short term trading.
The big players and those who trade futures apparently have access to trade in the overnight markets, and us retail investors who don't, can only hold overnight and hope the overnight move goes their way.
