From what I've read here by the Democrats, Democrat governance makes places thrive. So why isn't Baltimore - which hasn't had a Republican mayor since the 1960s - safe?
hmmm it's starting to look like he was BSing us. sorry for the false alarm.

Be honest. You know why certain areas are safer than others.
Have you noticed that right wingers place blame for the hardships of Jan 6th rioters on everyone except the big fat Orange guy that invited them there?

Weird.
October 18th is a day that shall live in infamy. Right up there with 9/11, Pearl Harbor and D-day. On that day over 300 insurrectionists invaded the Capitol Cannon building and assaulted capitol police officers. I’m sure AOC and others feared for their lives (as she alleged to be fearing for her life when people were in the other building and she was in the Cannon building). I’m certain these individuals will be held to the same standard as the Jan. 6 insurrectionists, as Merrill Garland has assured us that the judicial system is not biased in its application of the law. Time will tell.

So I have to be honest but you don't. Yes, that's how right wing politics usually work. Cool, cool, cool.
I just want you to tell the truth, that's all. Say it and be free.
Do you possibly see a trend among the most violent and safest cities?
The 4 cities with murder rates below 1/100k are Irvine, Chula Vista, Fremont, and Boise (where Irvine is the safest and Boise is the 'most dangerous' - 0.72 vs 0.89 homicide rate / 100k); the 4 most violent cities are St Louis, Baltimore, Detroit, and New Orleans (where St Louis is most dangerous).

Put them in solitary confinement. These insurrections deserve 2+ years of solitary for trespassing. There needs to be equal justice.
I'm curious how someone on a forum about long distance running has the time and energy to post 10+ times a day for years (!) in a POLITICAL thread.
You are either unemployed (and we shouldn't respect your opinion) or you are retired with no life (this is worse, imagine spending your golden years talking about politics on a running forum).
In other, (more accurate), words, you are either a liar or are too stup!d to even realize that you are full of sh!t.

Still waiting to see your answer.
Truly, this is fascinating. You brought up a topic, but seem terrified to actually address it.

clearly you are too scared to say what you think so I guess this discussion is over.

Will you keep pretending? You still haven't answered why Baltimore is far more dangerous than New Hampshire (state) or Carmel, IN (city) despite far stricter gun laws.

This exchange summarized: the Republican implies blacks commit more crime but isn't willing to say it outright as that'll get him banned, while the Democrat doesn't acknowledge crime in Democratic cities.
Would you feel safer walking in San Jose or west Baltimore at night? They're both in Democrat states with a lot of gun control, so why aren't the crime rates equal?

As an independent I'm amused.
You're not just amused. You're really, really clever! And superior.

Gosh, I don't know... could it be that different cities face different circumstances? Could it be that there are multiple factors involved?
But I know, I know: It's so much simpler to put everything into Box A or Box Z (and there are only two boxes!). Exploring the nuances of particular situations--nah, that's for grownups.
