A president loses that title they are removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors. That is in the U.S. Constitution, and it there for a reason--don't a traitor or criminal.

60 million (+/-) people vote for any given POTUS. Many will never be convinced of his/her wrong-doing, unfitness for office, etc. All it will take is one nut-job from the other side to put a bullet in him/her and you at least cause another huge wound in the nation's fabric - possibly worse. This preventable and should be prevented for the good of the country - not for the good of the ex-POTUS.

Two choices again -- Racist OR Stupid. Also, minorities aren't immune from being racist. Lots of minorities are racist against OTHER minorities entering the country. Not ALL of them of course, because MOST minorities in this country are Democrats. So again, supporters of Trump currently are either racist OR stupid. You want to harp on the racist part and don't want to accept the stupid part. If my MOTHER started lying to me every time I talked to her, I would be STUPID to believe anything else she said. The situation with Bush and Iraq was different. Cheney wanted to invade Iraq from day 1 and bullied the intelligence community to make a case for it and then they bullied the Senate to give Bush the right to invade Iraq if he thought it was necessary. Without a push from the White House, U.S. Intelligence would have never identified Iraq as being a threat to anyone.

This is true. Saddam was also thumbing his nose at UN investigators and not allowing them to do their job. Sorry, but he started a war that he then lost (surrendered), and he has to abide by the rules of the surrender or be considered still at war. I was for the US going in, but NOT to seek for WMDs...ONLY because Saddam did not adhere to the terms of the surrender.

Trump is horrible and not comparable to ANY other president.

Pence dodges all questions and doubts about his support of the orange one by saying he’s just following God’s plan.

The inspectors were kicked out by Bush, not Saddam. If you remember at the time, the weapons inspectors were begging to be allowed to finish their job.

The inspectors were among the most vocal anti-war critics. They were saying that they had found no evidence of WMD's. Bush and Cheney didn't want them to finish their inspections and be able to declare that the Iraq was free of WMD's. So they had to invade and force the inspectors to leave in order to preserve their pretense for war.

Oh my god, long weekend (GO PATS!!!), but I just got nervous that Epic Flagpole forgot to give us the monthly Flagpole update. But there is it, baby!

The follow-on link is a great recap. I remember just about all of the fake news stories noted. Wild stuff going on in the world of journalism nowadays. Think about that for a minute: just about every month or so, a major front-page news story is exposed as a complete and utter lie.

Yet they want us to respect what they do. Come on.

I agree with that. Saddam was still thumbing his nose at inspectors...moving "material" just before inspectors would arrive, not allowing them the kind of access they required, was not cooperative with inspectors at all, etc. This was likely a ploy by Saddam to keep other countries believing he had WMDs so as to appear strong. Well, he put himself in that situation by governing as he did.

I was no fan of Bush, but Saddam invaded Kuwait and then surrendered. In that case, he had to toe the line, and he did not. Again, I didn't agree with the WMD aspect of going into Iraq, but because he was not cooperating with the terms of the surrender, I was all for it. You can't invade a country and then agree to terms of surrender and then not follow those terms. Rule of Law person I am.
