I'm not fond of the badly over-used expression, "You can't make this stuff up." But it certainly applies.

And yeah, I'd guess that the The Onion, and others, are a little pissed about Trumpism stealing their satire.

Hey look, I have terrible reading comprehension, and don't know the definition of the word "literally."

But, "sub-literally," do I think that Trump shares a LOT of character flaws with Hitler (and Putin, etc.)? Yep. No doubt.

And it's not hard to insert Donald Trump into Nazi Germany sometime in the 1930s and be rather sure which side he'd be on.

Generally speaking, should Hitler comparisons be avoided? Sure. But going on a decade of seeing Trump, you should be embarrassed that you don't realize that comparisons are warranted.

In fact, I recently visited the Holocaust Museum. I CERTAINLY didn't go in thinking of Trump one iota. But any reasonable person can be reminded of what was being said (and done) in Germany in the 1930s and be reminded of recent U.S. history. Hugely depressing and embarrassing. Even takes away from the relative historical "grandeur" of being in DC. Trumpism has made us realize just how close we are to far, far less than what we thought America was, and always would be.

And just as reminder, Trump VERY recently mentioned illegal immigrants POISONING THE BLOOD of America. Yeah, "Truth," just like Hitler. You ONLY say that if you're racist and/or trying to appeal to racists.

Old-fashioned conservatives (like me) MIGHT be worried about too many very poor people coming into the country. Or, too many people bringing with them cultural norms significantly different than America's.

But ONLY true-blue racists think that those people are inherently inferior, and will "poison" our national blood. Trump's words. JUST LIKE Hitler's.

Ever since Trump was sworn in, the right has claimed that characterizations of Trump as a really, really bad and criminal guy have been met with cries of exaggeration and hyperbole. Over time each of these right wing defenses have had to recalibrate as Trump raced to do more sh!t to prove he is awful.

Remember the first month of Trumps presidency when it was crazy town with illegal Muslim ban and insane daily lies about inauguration crowd size? Right wingers said he would shortly pivot and respect the office he held. nope. He didn’t.

Like the Electoral college?!? Come on Agip - get it together.
