oh right, we shouldn't care that the right-wing nominee for speaker of the house tried to overturn the last presidential election. Not relevant at all to who is in the White House right now. Good thinking, Joe. /sarc
Democrats spent four years trying to overturn Trump’s election and have spent the ensuing three years trying to keep him from running again. They tried to overturn both of Bush’s victories as well. If challenging the results of an election is a disqualifier to being speaker than how did the Dems ever fill the position the past twenty years?
Come on you know it so much more than just challenging the results. Don't listen to me or the media, listen to fellow good REPUBLICANS explaining everything Trump did to lie and manipulate you and his fellow supporters and to throw out votes to try and stay in power.
Challenging the results is not the problem, convincing people the election was stolen from them and getting them so upset that many were willing to attack the capital to (ironically) "stop the steal" has never been done before. So no, everyone doesn't do that.
Just listen to the honest Republicans and BELIEVE THEM.
Repubs love radicals. It's their jam. And that's why they have lost all but one popular election counts since I dunno the 1980s or something like that.

January 6 was no more significant than any other political protest of the past 60 years. And yes, people have invaded the capitol before (just last week, in fact) incited by someone spewing lies. It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. It is worth questioning whether the morons who occupied the cannon building last week will be treated the same as the January 6 bozos.

this is an absurd viewpoint, not defensible to anyone but the hardcorest fantasist republican.
an outgoing president of the united states pushed to suspend the constitution to stay in power and he and his people engineered the first non-peaceful transfer of power in american history.
Repubs love radicals. It's their jam. And that's why they have lost all but one popular election counts since I dunno the 1980s or something like that.
Johnson:
He opposed certifying the 2020 election
He voted against further Ukraine aid
He is antiabortion
He is a close ally of Donald Trump
He supports LGBTQ restrictions
Agip - the people who occupied the Capitol last week - would you consider them insurrectionists just like you have called Trump and his supporters insurrectionists for last few years?

That's the truth.
Agip - you have been beating a dead horse forever now. No one is listening to you. Maybe take a yoga class or tai chai. Let your body cleanse itself of all this hostility.

they did not try to overturn an election, so of course not.

He is everything you hate which means he's great for the GOP.
Johnson is not a swamp RINOsaur unlike McCarthy & Emmer. As for him getting enough votes, we will see.
We want a M-AGA Speaker, no more do nothing/useless/uniparty RINOS.
LFG!

Millions of battered & bruised tushies are the result.

That pic is the failed policies of the Democrat/Lib party in a nutshell. Everyone they get their hands on turns to sh&t. Every city with Democrat leaders are among the most violent cities in the US. Every city with Democrat leaders is or is becoming bankrupt. Democrats can and will never be able to manage a city, a state or a country.

Insurrectionists rise up against authority. That is what they did. They occupied the Capitol. They WERE insurrectionists. How can you ever call them anything but and still be credible?

I drove 60 in a 55 this morning, as my way of rising up against authority. Then I deliberately threw my burrito wrapper in the street, for the same reason. F the man, man.

I guess I'm an insurrectionist. Lock me up.
Nope - we won't lock you up. You are definitely not an insurrectionist but definitely a firebrand. Never change. We like you just as your are. Sometimes annoying but we can live with that.

Amen on the rising piece. Very key. If you aren't rising up, you can't lay claim to being an insurrectionist.
Trump is entrapped in an old liberal courtroom, and the Soros-appointed judge has confiscated his mobile phone to abrogate its use. And yet Trump STILL manages to stare down the cowards in the oath-stand while managing the US House Speaker nomination crisis. That's called multi-compartmental abilities.
The world is inching towards WW3 with your guy in office and all you can do is deflect towards Trump. Pathetic. Put your TDS on the Trump thread.

The Democrat nominee for speaker is an election denier too so what difference does it make?
