2. Use DoJ for retribution against political foes

3. reinstate the Muslim ban

4. withdrawal US from NATO (see that Vlad?)

in a normal world this hubris would immediately take his approval rating down to 3%. Trumps accepted insanity is a public indictment of the stupidity and gullibility of his voters.

I'd be OK with that, provided that the IDF prosecutes its war according to Just War dictates -- and I acknowledge the difficulty of their doing that in the face of the dirty pool Hamas likes (which is why I'm less than sanguine about the ability of IDF going it alone. Nearly all of us recoil at the atrocities we've seen. In the face of that horror, you expect a fully rational, just response from the IDF? That's why I believe in the tempering effect of others, imperfect though that may be).

Well, as I read more about him, too much of a Trump guy. Same with the current guy they are now touting. The GOP isn't one party anymore. It's two, and they are fighting with each other. Political parties always have factions within it or them. You cited both of what you consider to be factions within the Republican party as bad. Which factions within the Democrat party would you consider to be bad and why.

Disco Gary and Ihatefetterman, the next couple weeks will be very tough for you. I know you in your heart believed Donald Trump. You felt all his legal difficulties were just from a weaponized justice system, or lies from the radical left media, or instructions from Biden or crazy libs or disloyal republicans or Rhino's. You feel as though Trump has been treated unfairly. Trump has your trust, support and sympathy. You just dismissed all these accusations about Trump.

But the problem with this belief system is that its the previously devoted Trumpers who are the ones taking him down. They are all solid Republicans (Chesebro, Meadows, Bill Barr, John Kelly, Jenna Ellis and crazy Kracken lady) and they are declaring that Trump lied and manipulated you and tried to illegally steal an election.

Its one of the worst crimes a president could commit and its good REPUBLICANS explaining this to everyone.

Ironically considering my handle, Trump's best defense is that he is emotionally disturbed and he thought the election was really stolen (or in his words stollen).

the new nominee for speaker, Johnson, is an insurrectionist. Of course right wing coupsters learned their lesson by trying for a reasonable person and have swung back to a coup-member. Trump owns you people, body and soul. Disgusting.

This is who the Rs are. We can't pretend they are for democracy anymore, if it means they lose the White House. This is who they turn to in a crisis.

This has been very disheartening. The majority of Republican house members work under the rationalization that politics is just a dirty game and that one needs to say and act in a way to stay in power. As if politics has a different moral creed where deception is ok.

And similar to cults or crime families they punish any members who don't adhere to the group rules and goals. Trump was clear to announce this punishment for Tom Emmers by stating that he was the one who "killed" Emmers.

And of course Trump's power comes from all Trumper cult members who respond to his wants and implied instructions. There are no Republican leaders strong enough to lead the party away from Trump and his lies. Some out of fear of consequences just play along.

Democrats spent four years trying to overturn Trump’s election and have spent the ensuing three years trying to keep him from running again. They tried to overturn both of Bush’s victories as well. If challenging the results of an election is a disqualifier to being speaker than how did the Dems ever fill the position the past twenty years?

To clarify is more than just thinking deception is ok, its thinking that cheating or doing mostly anything to win is OK. Its certainly is a lack of respect for the system of democracy.
