WASHINGTON—A federal judge on Tuesday dismissed the Federal Trade Commission’s claims that Facebook parent Meta Platforms META -0.10%decrease; red down pointing triangle has an illegal monopoly in social media, rejecting one of the government’s marquee antitrust lawsuits against big technology companies. U.S. District Judge James Boasberg said the FTC didn’t prove its claims that Meta’s acquisitions of Instagram in 2012 and WhatsApp in 2014 allowed the company to maintain an unlawful monopoly in personal social-networking. The commission argued that monopoly remains today because Meta’s products, which have focused on connecting friends and families, don’t compete with entertainment apps such as TikTok and YouTube. During a six-week trial, FTC attorneys often struggled to show a firm divide between how people use Facebook and Instagram and how they consume content on TikTok, YouTube and other services. “Whether or not Meta enjoyed monopoly power in the past…the agency must show that it continues to hold such power now,” Boasberg wrote in an 89-page decision. “The court’s verdict today determines that the FTC has not done so.”
yes, when you do illegal things, the law does tend to get in your face a lot. That's called civilization.
It is not "illegal" to redistrict.
sometimes it is illegal, trumper:
Racial gerrymandering is illegal under federal law, prohibited by the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. These protections are designed to prevent states from drawing maps that dilute the voting power of racial minorities.
Understand the complex legal framework governing electoral maps. The legality of redistricting hinges on the distinction between political goals and constitutional limits.
With the release of the Epstein files, what will you Dems/Libs whine about now? It seems you are always whining and bellyaching about something.
maybe you should do be doing some bellyaching about the criminal in the White House.
would be great if you developed an ethical backbone and took some of the weight here.
Why did Joe Biden and Kamala for 4 years refuse to release the files? Who are they protecting? They failed to secure the border and failed to release the files. How much awfuller can they get? They are just terrible people.

Redistricting per se is certainly not illegal: We do it after every census!
But a particular redistricting can be illegal if, for example, a court determines that the redistricting violates a state's constitution or the Constitution of the United States.
Q: What do you say to Trump voters who are upset that prices haven’t gone down? Trump: “Beef we have to get down. I think of groceries. It's an old-fashioned word,
Do you think Trump has any clue what anything in the grocery store costs? Could he even produce a reasonable guess at how much it costs to buy a gallon of milk, or pound of ground beef, a dozen eggs, or a bag of apples? Would he even be in the ballpark?
It seems reasonable to doubt that Donald Trump himself has ever shopped for groceries in his life.
But, in any case, the prices of groceries would be meaningless to him. They could cost ten times as much and he, personally, wouldn't care: Those prices would be a rounding (to zero) error for a billionaire.

And yet he's more relatable to the general public than Democrats who definitely have bought groceries.

Libs claimed it was racially gerrymandered which it was not. It was solely political.

Kamala? VPs are figureheads with no responsibilities or authority.
It's been quite a day for Trump: * House votes 427-1 to release the Epstein files, a veto-proof+ majority * A federal judge blocked GOP redistricting map in Texas, meaning net net with CA measure passed, Democrats could pick up seats for 2026, KARMA! * A federal appeals court, including two Trump appointed judges, rejected Trump's defamation lawsuit against CNN over the term "Big Lie," finding the case meritless * Corporate Public Broadcasting agree to fulfill its $36 million annual contract with NPR, after a judge told Trump appointees at CPB that their defense was not credible * A NY judge dismissed Trump's calling of New York's law barring immigration arrests in state and local courthouses.

and that's on top of:
record low net approval ratings
losing redistricting in Indiana
falling stock markets
cratering crypto
largest wave of layoffs in 20+ years, by some measures

Who could have e predicted that culture war BS that catapulted Trump into office might not have anytime do with running the country effectively to benefit citizens?
I am working with Governor Mike Braun and other Indiana Republicans, on picking up two Republican Congressional seats. The Governor, a good man, must produce on this, or he will be the only Governor, Republican or Democrat, who didn’t. I won Indiana in a landslide, the most votes ever gotten in the State - Such an HONOR! A RINO State Senator, Rodric Bray, who doesn’t care about keeping the Majority in the House in D.C., is the primary problem. Soon, he will have a Primary Problem, as will any other politician who supports him in this stupidity. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DJT
This is what we need: politicians picking their voters
