the economy is supposed to grow something like 4-6% this year. There's your reason.
Ok...we shall see. Would be cool if that happens. I'm skeptical, but who knows. Again, doesn't affect my investing.
i was thinking exactly the same.
What drove me to that conclusion is in part the frenzy i am seeing lately to throw money at the highly speculative stuff.
This feels exactly like the internet boom days.
As for the rise, every dip has been finding a bottom within a few sessions, and they look like just buying opportunities for a large pool waiting to get in at some price other than the current highs.
That is reassuring, but like you, I find it somewhat surprising.
Like a ...you know.
Earnings Scorecard: For Q4 2020 (with 59% of the companies in the S&P 500 reporting actual results), 81% of S&P 500 companies have reported a positive EPS surprise and 79% have reported a positive revenue surprise. If 81% is the final percentage, it will tie the mark for the second-highest percentage of S&P 500 companies reporting a positive EPS surprise since FactSet began tracking this metric in 2008.
good gawdamighty
I always read about how pandemics and depressions are financially good for the comfortably rich and up and yeah here's more evidence.
What a titanic flood of cash is sitting out there.

Belichick’s fake boobed girlfriend will finally get a chance to wash his mustard stained sweatshirt.
Morgan Stanley stock is still doing well by the way.
Go Squid!

Sure sign a major corrections is looming.
At work today, one security guard said to another, "I am putting all my football winnings from this weekend into crypto because I heard it is all going to the moon!"

Hey Squid. Wondering, what’s up?
How long will it last without #12?
Anyhow, the boss will sneak in the back door of Orchids of Asia. If you know what I mean.

I guess we are allowed to be surprised!

Today's the 3rd anniversary of Volmageddon; a.k.a. Volpocalypse. The day XIV died.

Speaking of Stanley Morgan, do you still have your Patriot Brady Jacket, or have you spent your stimulus check on the Buc version? ?

Thanks for speaking of me. No jacket, but I will be proudly wearing my #12 Patriots jersey on Sunday. Spent my stimulus on a new computer.
Go, TB12!
I hope Brady wins. He is amazing, more for his desire than anything. Of course physically gifted.
I was riding a spin bike during Green Bay game. Because of Covid my bike faced away from the TV. I heard the other biker that faced the TV cussing on every good Buc play. I knew the Bucs won when he gave up exercising, and went home disgusted.
Enjoy the game.
