something happened with Apple within the last hour, stock taking off after hours, can't figure out what it is. Usually after 15 minutes of so, something emerges but unless it's the dissapointing Quaalcom earnings, can't figure what it would be.

yeah but that initially came out this morning, as a rumor and there was a 2% spike up within a few seconds about 45 minutes ago. Seems to be down about half of that now.

No idea.

Honestly, did not know who you were talking about until you mentioned The Band. I went to my one and only Bob Dylan Concert at the young age of 15 in the fall of 1965 at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium. Evidently the artists you, agip, and Seattle mentioned were already working in a back-up role prior to going out on their own. I found this reference after reading the banter:

“The fall tour starts with a concert at the Forest Hills Tennis Stadium. Dylan plays the first set solo and is backed by a band consisting of Robbie Robertson, Levon Helm, Harvey Brooks and Al Kooper in the second set. This format, one acoustic and and one electric set is kept through out the fall and during the 1966 World tour.”

That was not actually The Band, but close. Brooks and Kooper were never in The Band, though Kooper is well renowned. That was Dylan’s band for the first two shows of that tour before Helm and Robertson convinced Dylan to bring in the rest of their band known then as “Levon Helm and the Hawks”. A year or two later they became The Band (the genesis of that name is an interesting story).

I'm a huge Bob Dylan fan, but I generally dislike the work he did with The Band. No accounting for taste, right? (I also don't much care for the Beatles and Stones either, so surely it's me, not them...)

“Positively 4th Street” is my favorite, several others from the era.

GME has been dipping below $77 today, and I'm feeling inexplicably more dignified. :-)

Still, a long way between now and the end of the year yet, and BTC has been stubbornly hanging out within 10-15% of its recent high...

Bitcoin is gonna go up up up.

Too much momentum now. Another huge stimulus coming (mostly unnecessary) that is going to at least give the vibe that money is being inflated away. People will hear that BTC is deflationary and just throw money into it.

i was about to short it today at 60.8 but i just didn't want to have to have my eyes glued to the cell phone screen all day. LOL.

There's too many other viable options available at the moment to have to play that game.

Yeah, somebody's losing money i would imagine. Or maybe they're round trippers (Rode it up and down for something approximating break even).

I suppose our reddit afficianados would have the scoop on it.

I will still continue to invest to matter what until I begin to withdraw in retirement, but I will say that the stock market's continued rise doesn't make any sense to me right now. There are always times when that is the case, and right now is one of those times.

the economy is supposed to grow something like 4-6% this year. There's your reason.

Ok...we shall see. Would be cool if that happens. I'm skeptical, but who knows. Again, doesn't affect my investing.
