That made me chuckle. It's like the guy a few pages back that seriously thought Schumer and Pelosi opposed funding Trump's wall because that's what the majority of the people wanted.

I don’t see that at all, how did you come the conclusion she will run? Nothing is absolute but I can’t imagine she would have any significant party support to run, but I do agree if somehow she did run she would certainly lose.

She said she hasn’t ruled it out. Hence she’s gonna run.

Also, Harris is trying way too hard way too early. CNN is covering what’s out there, that’s all. No other candidate is organizing such a strong push so early with town halls and everything.

She knows she’s a long shot so she’s trying to get her message out there.

If Hillary runs it’s going to be Biden, Beto and Hillary top 3. Everyone else in the back off the bus.

I have been surprised by who the nominee has been on both the Rep and the Dem sides much of the time over the last 30 years or so. Other than a sitting POTUS the primary winners often come out of nowhere.

I do agree with your earlier expressed sentiment that the Dem names being tossed around would not make strong candidates. The one exception from my perspective is Beto. I think he is Obama-esque and could very well win the whole thing.

Never thought I’d say this but I think @johnrobertsFox and @GillianHTurner @FoxNews have even less understanding of the Wall negotiations than the folks at FAKE NEWS CNN & NBC! Look to final results! Don’t know how my poll numbers are so good, especially up 19% with Hispanics?

Trump is mad at some Fox News reporters. Guess they need to be reprimanded for not saying only positive things about Trump.

And you know Trump watches the polls like a hawk.

The Hispanic approval poll numbers go up from 31% to 50% in a month where we had a report that Trump had rigged polls in the past.

His tweet does two things:

- Either shows Hispanics are really liking Trump now

- or you can't believe the polls.

Either outcome is good for Trump because he will either praise good news or call bad news fake.

He is great at that.

The Republicans have gotten a lot of mileage out of perceived victimhood. From the Mueller probe is a witch hunt to the invading hordes sneaking across the border to commit crimes, from the "war" on Christianity to Hillary's coming to take your guns away, the Republicans and the right wing media are masters at leading people to the idea that they are under attack. And Trump is the whiniest, most prominent example of Republican victimhood.

"Just wondering if you bothered to educate yourself on this. The methodology used to determine the 95,000 "non-citizens" registered and 58,000 "non-citizen" voters is a bit suspect.

Cliff Notes version:

They checked voter records against driver's license records. If someone used non-citizen documents to apply for a driver's license they are being tagged as non-citizens in voter registration records. The problem, of course, is that individuals who are Texas residents but not US citizens at the time of their application for a driver's license can and do change their citizenship status. Further, there is no requirement and no reason at all to notify the department of motor vehicles about said change. Therefore, there are LOTS of US citizens who used non-citizen documents to apply for their driver's license.

To provide some idea about the magnitude of the problem with this "study", about 50,000 Texas residents become naturalized citizens each year. Over the period of the study (1996 - 2016?) that would be about 1,000,000 Texas residents who have become naturalized US citizens. With this, it is actually surprising that they found only 95,000 discrepancies between driver's license records and voter citizenship status.

In terms of verified instances of non-citizens registering to vote the numbers are slightly different than the 95,000. 97 people in total were prosecuted for voter fraud (of all kinds) during the 13 year period ending in 2017. That is an average of 7 - 8 cases per year. It is not clear how many of those 7 per year were related to non-citizenship status but it seems likely that it is somewhat less than 95,000. ;-)"
