White House deputy press secretary Hogan Gidley just went on Fox News. He attacked Buzzfeed and Michael Cohen.

But Gidley repeatedly refused to say that the Buzzfeed report is false. He simply would not answer the direct question as to whether or not the president told Cohen to lie.

It's definitely an impeachable offense, but we still need to see how many senate Republicans would be willing to go along.

I'm always wary of these types of reports but, assuming corroborating evidence, I'd imagine obstruction of justice is on the table pretty solidly.

We'll see. Giuliani was out there for a reason a few days ago as well running interference on the collusion issue. This could end up being a fairly significant week for the President including the shutdown failing him in terms of approval. Right now, it doesn't seem to be leaking to Trump Senators and members of Congress and maybe it's too early to judge that. If Trump's downside becomes an electability issue for his politician followers, his Presidency is over although more likely by vote than impeachment or resignation.

Almost all of the posts here have been qualified with something like, "if the story is true" or "if the corroborating evidence exists".

Nobody is getting suckered. We know the caveats.

But stories like this do tend to pan out more often than not.

And then the rest of MSM played it up for months only to be proven wrong because it was bought and paid for by the DNC/Hillary. Correct. The dossier has NOT been proven to be false...in fact many things have been proven true. Just another falsehood from Rigged. I can't say that what he does is lie, because he has proven not to have the capacity to determine what is true or not, so as a positive, I don't believe he is a liar. He IS a spreader of falsehoods though.

AND, Fat Hurts, you are correct...Donald J. Trump is going to prison...unless he dies first or there is criminality that makes it not so, or the Earth ends before that, or aliens from space come down here and make it not so.

It only matters if it is true or not.

So far, the dossier has been very reliable as a source of truth.

The Rs know the dossier is a straw man but it's all they've got.

First off, it is 'raw intelligence.' it is simply a readout of information Steele was given. It does not have any analysis to it. He did not say 'this probably isn't true' or 'this probably is true.' It's just raw reporting notes.

second off, the FBI opened its investigation not because of the dossier, but because of drunken trumpers bragging to foreign intel agents.

Third, none of it has been proven false. But not much has been proven true either.

So just stop it with the dossier.

And Dems, the dossier shouldn't be considered the same as quality news or FBI findings.

Even Steele thinks it might be 30% wrong.

A whole lot of the dossier has been proven true. There have been many articles with analysis on this point, including a lengthy article from businessinsider.com just five days ago.

It's amazing how much of this raw intelligence has turned out to be true. And it's even more amazing that none of it has yet turned out to be false.
