It is, Philly does demonstrate stereotypical ADHD symptoms. I've got no doubt her diagnosis is correct!
I'd say it's same for every YouTuber in terms of how genuine they are. You choose what to share and subconsciously you know you're being filmed/watched, so your behaviour might change. Your point valid as some come across more genuine than others, especially if they share about when they got things wrong, because of stuff they could control, and not just all humble brags/outright brags all the time.
On being genuine and raw Stephen Scullion & Lionel Sanders (yes a triathlete but it's got running in) are best in terms of that content. Scullion at times is so brutally honest, I find it a little depressing!
I like Scullion, but like you, I find the content a bit dry and depressing. He looks like he's on the verge of tears most of the time.
Also, I don't find he's the best at stringing things out to make the longer content he does. He seems to go round in circles where he could just get to the point. I can only assume it's for ad revenue, but it's pretty exhausting for what could be otherwise decent content.
Scullion has some good things to say but doesn't follow his own advice (do many YouTubers?)
He also hasn't a clue about the real world. I remember one of his videos when he said runners should not be using super shoes in training as it is cheating. Yeah mate, we can't finish our session and have an ice bath, massage and sit around the house all day, we have jobs and need as much help in recovering as possible
Hugely inspiring new video from Floberg has just been released.
What an amazing guy
I have to laugh at the juxtaposition between 'pacing not racing' and 'portaloo meltdown at mile 13,' but in all honesty it's one of the better ones in a while IMO. Floberg at his Flobergiest, being a dudebro and an absolute cheeseball, but it fits this style of video way better than hour-long video essays on fructose grams and the weather. I'd like to see him highlight other runners more often, he's actually pretty good at it. Makes for a more interesting feature than G1M at the very least.
It’s cringe because he just can’t help it at this point, but it’s actually not unbearable. I have a feeling floberg is alright in real life, I just can’t fathom why anyone would watch videos of people who are fundamentally bad at training, obsessing over minute details and generally futzing about like a Jewish mother over bottles of carb drink, except for comic relief. I honestly tune in at this point to double check I’m not falling into any of the same traps as floberg is.

Not at all in any way.
Far too focused to be properly ADHD.
You hugely undermine people with real ADHD saying that
I disagree. I'm not a trained psychologist or specialist so not going to pretend to be the authority but I have ADHD and have spent hundreds of hours researching the condition so know far more than average person.
Two points to note:
ADHD can show different symptoms in different people, so there's a spectrum.
A symptom of ADHD is hyper focus for things that motivate the indivudal. Hence there's a few top end elite athletes with ADHD.
I think you need to take a look in the mirror when considering the comment " I undermine people with ADHD".
Ali on the Run shared her breast cancer has returned and is now stage 4 and spread to her bones. This is obviously terrible news and I think for once we can all agree on that at least.

Something we can all agree on is that SJD is your classic AdHd case.
Continuing the new feature on this sub which I will sporadically post over the next few weeks/months. Lots of big match ups of 32 ‘influencers’.
*****Earlier matches on previous pages. Will collate the first round results when all matches played to see who has made the next round (so still time to vote) ******
Culminating in the crowning of our favourite YouTuber. We like to mock and laugh at many on here but who do we actually like? Who escapes our ire and gets to be crowned champion. Vote either up or down depending on your choice.
Round 1 - match 13/16.
Feel free to comment as to why you came to this judgement.
Shocked that Floberg realized he should train through Grandma’s. I was also ready to roast him for not leading the people he was pacing but every clip showed him in front. Well done.
Keeping up with his Strava, he dropped a “last one fast one” sub-5:00 pace rep so he’s still got some Foolberg in him.
Got damn after browsing this thread a bit over the last day or two I gotta say this is the most toxic forum i've ever seen. If I dislike a running youtuber I just stop watching them.

What do we think of floberg hitting the OTQ with the new standard ? Maybe he will call this training block for Chicago "The 2:16 Build" and then end up with a 2:32:14

Floberg only started to make gains when he became consistent (and began loving the community etc) - he made huge gains quickly because, for the first time in his life, he put together a decent training block.
All those quick, early gains have gone and he is going to have to grind away 70/80 miles weeks for 18 weeks to drop 1 or 2 mins per marathon.
Before end of 2026 he will be doing something else as he doesn't have the staying power or the true love of he grind that he says he does. It's easy to grind away when you see 5/10 or more mins drop off a marathon PR every race. He won't ever see that again
Not backing him up, but how can you say he "can't be filming for that long" when you're stating 5/10 minutes? Filming is a lot of faffing. It could easily take that long, especially if his gf isn't filming.
What is he filming? All he does is rehash old videos with "best shoe for new runners" etc nowadays
He might pause his watch, when he goes through his stretching regime, does strides, etc. Stupid comment really.
Looks like he's doing his usual at an Ultra. Seems to have stopped at 51km of Comrades, probably blown up, or in tears. Sarah (g/f) is closing in on him, who's going to bet, that her race get's ruined by Mr Cry Baby 'not getting it done' Ben?
