yuk weather tonight - 88 and 50% humidity - dewpoint 70. That is suffering category and will affect races. A shame because average temp in Moscow in August is just 70 degrees.
I don't see this meet coming back to Drake any time soon.

Budget issues are always a problem and you will not get a lot of bids for this anyway -- my idea of importance during an Olympic cycle.
Minimums
* Olympic Trials must mimic weather, altitude and the rounds format.
* Worlds years mimic weather and altitude.
I've forgotten do they need a Class I track facility for the OT?
Rio weather- 65-80 & humid It's winter so sunset is early giving evening session distance races a break out of the sun- plus puts them in the expected TV Window.

McGorty on the track? Jr 1500.
And was it really necessary to run the Jr women semi's?
They eliminated 2 runners.
McGorty 2nd in 351.16
I'm guessing that the marathon won't be at night.

McGorty looked relaxed, advances.
Anyone have a link to share? Thanks.

Sounds like they should have had this meet in Eugene, and then the olympic trials at Drake. In other words, eugene weather might be close to Moscow, and drake weather might be closer to rio.
Good point I was only thinking about the on the track races because the marathons have different production needs.

Great ideas, none of this matters, because Brooks, New Balance, Saucony, et. al., none of them are going to break the mold and pony up the $$$.
Michael Jordan is trying his hand at T&F now?

Clearly the water jump would have been no hurdle for him ;-)
Lolo's run was impressive...stadium record in 12.50. Someone ran 12.33 in the next heat but it was wind aided

Brianna Rollins NCAA champ. I would think Rollins is the favorite, she's on fire right now.
Wow - great run in the women's 10m Ht 1.
12.33 with 2.3 wind. Probably worth a PR with a 1.9 wind but not sure how much wind impacts speed for 100m
