I heard this a year or so ago...I don't know if the plans are solid or whatever but the Connecticut River is also the divider I was told...if that's true, Williams would be in the Atlantic and Amherst would stay in New England since they're like five miles east of the river.

What happened to SLU? They were total powerhouse a couple years ago. I know they had that really strong top pack, but I thought they had some younger talent in the works as well.
It's almost like all their effort was focused on a couple guys, and they felt like they never had to actively recruit again. It's a shame because they were a fun team to watch at nationals.

suny schools...less tuition,decent education,traditional powers,coaches that recruit.

Pretty sure Mwenda didn't run before he came to SLU which makes his success that much more impressive.

Programs rise and fall. Cortland went from a national championship in 2008 to 12th in the region in 2010. Now they're back near the top again. TCNJ was a powerhouse in the middle of the last decade, and now seem to be lost in the wilderness. Geneseo seems to be the perennial lock for a nationals spot. Like them or not, they reload every year with some formidable talent (for D3).

Looks like SLU has depth issues even worse than last year. Will be interesting to see how their front-loaded team stacks up against RPI's pack running for the 5 spot at regionals.

Can anyone comment on the course? Point to point with wind at back? Downhill? The times seem a little fast but I guess past results are fast too.
That course looks to be about 90 seconds- 2 minutes faster than usual.
Comparing top finishers times to usual:
The winner has run a mid-26 8k this season, and a mid-24 8k, so there's no way that he ran over a minute faster on a normal length course.

Well saying a course is two minutes fast is sort of useless without comparing it to a specific course. You have to look at more than two people too.
The course is 65 seconds faster than the Regional Course.

Must have been a different course and short. The course is fast but comparable to Paul Short or a course like Houghton
