NYU Men are first at-large in, won Oberlin and UAA. Have only lost to WIlliams, Cortland and Geneseo all season, all by small margins. Have beaten 4-5 auto teams, as well as a number of the other 3/4 place finishers. What happened to Turlip, usual number 2 for them, heard he was in top 10 and then caught a crap or something and went backward quickly?? UAA will most likely get 5 teams into the NCAA meet, with Case in the pool as well but probably missing out.
Is the UAA the best conference in the country for DIII this year? Having run against the wisconsin schools in the 90's, I never thought I would ask that question, but Wash U's better placing in regionals than conference makes a good argument.
they could very well have three teams in the top-10, four in the top-15. pretty solid.

Love the circular logic. If that line of reasoning (comparing teams in the same region to each other based on results other than regionals) really mattered, why wouldn't teams just collude? "Hey, we beat you this week, but we'll let you win next week and we'll both be guaranteed to go!"
Who teams lost to isn't part of the criteria. Only who they actually beat.
you may find it circular, but i'm just applying the selection criteria listed given by the NCAA. in addition to regional performance, they include:
• Head-to-head competition with teams already in the championships field and other potential at-large teams using late-season performance comparisons;
• Common opponents using late-season performance comparisons
so when considering the atlantic region, you look at the teams RIT beat before regions. they include brandeis, which is another potential at-large. since only 14 or so at-large teams have beaten ANY potential at-large teams, you put them in. then you look at st. lawrence. first of all, they had a small point gap to RIT at regions. second, they beat RIT two weeks ago, which is a victory over a potential at-large team. st. lawrence goes in.
teams they lost to are important because of the "common opponents" criteria. grinnell lost to olivet nazarene, whom a ton of other at-large teams beat. case western lost to u. of chicago, whom everyone else in the UAA beat as did all of the potential at-large teams in the midwest region.
will the selection committee follow these rules? who knows, but they're listed pretty clearly on the ncaa's website.
What time are the bids announced?
3PM today
where can I find them?
1. North Central
2. Williams
3. UW-Lacrosse
4. Cortland
They're supposed to show up on NCAA.com, I'm assuming under DIII XC Championships. They don't have a specific spot for it that I can find, so it will probably just show up in the news section? I also have the USTFCCCA and Baldin-Wallace sites up just in case it shows up on one of those first, but it should be on NCAA.com.
selections not announced until 5pm monday
that would be odd since entries are due this afternoon[quote]stop holding your breath wrote

Not sure why they are not up anywhere online, but I just did my team entry on Directathletics, so anyone who is in knows and is able to enter their team.
It is a sad forum when coaches start to post here.

What's sad is that this site has as much information as the NCAA site
How is it "sad" for a coach to post on letsrun? He/she didn't post a rumor or even an opinion, and he/she certainly didn't say something negative about another team. He/she was simply stating factual, informative information that might be of use to others. I don't see that as a problem. My entries are submitted, as well....just for the record.
wow no thoughts from anyone after the field comes out just crickets.
