I don't know where Paul Mausling went to school, but I know there's a cross country race named after him.
Mausling went to Macalester. His school records that still stand are 24:05 for a 5 mile cross country course, 4:19.1 indoor mile, 14:29 outdoor 5000, 29:59 10k.
Hooley was DNF, unfortunately.
I believe the highest MIAC finisher in an Olympic Trials was Jennifer Tonkin, also from Macalester ('93). She placed 10th in 2000 in 2:40:31. I got to see her run when she set a PR later that year (2:38:30) in the Chicago Marathon, earning a spot on the World Championships team.

Important race! Hooley choke?!? No way!
The 13:53 for Kramer was while he was at Carleton. I don't know what he did after college.
enough talk about past history. who will make history on Saturday at the regional? Can the central region get 5 men's teams?
Here is the Central Region Thread:

I got a question. What the hell happened to that Murphy kid from Hamline? People said he was going to be All-Conference this year and he sucked. I thought maybe it was a bad race but he sucked at regions too. Also what happened to Groh at regions, it looks like it cost the team a lot.
Sure he had a disappointing regions race, but who doesn't have an off race? What did Murphy and Groh cost Hamline? A 7th or 8th place finish at Regions instead of what, 11th? They weren't going to Nats anyways.
Dude, do you guys even know what you're talking about. Anyone who has talked to Murphy would realize he's a cool guy. He just found out he had daibetes in the summer and has been struggling with trying to get healthy. Don't talk sh*t if you don't know what you're talking about.
I didn't talk sh*t. I said he had an off-race, and who doesn't? I feel bad that he has diabetes, that honestly has to be really tough even without a strenous sport like XC/track on top of it. I have talked to Murphy and he is a very nice guy. Very humble. The kid that said Murphy had a sh*tty race and Groh having one too cost them something is crap because Hamline just wasn't the caliber that they were last year. That isn't talking sh*t, that is just pointing out an obvious fact.
yeah, I wasn't really talking to you.
the thing I don't understand is why on this message board does everyone have to "point out obvious facts". If they're obvious than everyone realizes it, so what's the point in pointing them out other than to make people feel like sh*t?
does anyone else think that its kinda funny that logan ogrady transfered to run at a better school, and probably make nats, and didnt even make varsity?
mos def
No, but I do think it's lame that you came on here to attack him for it.
Congrats to all of the MIAC runners today at NCAA's.
I second that motion. Congrats MIAC- 3 All-Americans in Erichsen, Greeno, and Gladitsch?

very funny, post of the day
Great races for the MIAC runners. The AAs ran great, and Fermoyle, Chris Del. and Sepe too. Is Sepe's split for the last mile correct? Bethel men and women go 4 for 4!
Murphy is a Fag
