But the next guy hasn't won 33 races in his entire career, including school titles. I apologize for counting the gold from tomorrow.
The next guy beats him in the races that matter most, global championship outdoor 1500 finals. No golds since 2021. Didn't even place at the last Olympics. What he does in other events does NOTHING to change his results in his main event.
You don't get to say what his main event is. Glad to remind you.
The 3k is his best event. He won it by a chest, without the best in the world being there.
He is the WR holder by 3.12 seconds.
Check the guy who has placed 2nd today. I'm sure you have never heard of him.
Walker in '76 won by a chest - while Bayi was absent.
Ingebrigtsen is climbing up the all-time ranking fast.
Definitely in the top 10 now. Who is still ahead of him? Bekele, Gebrselassie, Kipchoge, El Guerrouj. And then? He already could be number 5. And he is still only 24. Still some gap to the top, but his big goal, to become the undisputed number 1, seems possible.

So Jakob is as good as Walker, see Army? Oh wait, but Walker gave up 130m from the end in Düsseldorf while in 3rd place. I guess you think it's better to be a quitter than to have the guts to try and finish 4th.

Walker was a great runner who wssn't afraid to race the very best again and again.
Ingebrigtsen has already surpassed Walker by some margin, that's completely obvious.
Also guys like Elliott, Ryun, Ovett are alresdy clesrly behind him now. Snell? Debatable, but I clearly would obt for Ingebrigtsen. Coe because of his fantastic revords for me is still slightly ahead. Will probably change in the summer.. Baring injuries, in 4 yesrs he might be number 1.

I agree with you. 100%. I was just using that example to show Mr. Livs how idiotic his "reasoning" is.
BS. His main event is the event he races most often, which is the 1500. He's not as good at it as he thinks, or his fans.
You may be right about that, because Jakob actually has standards and expectations he puts on himself as a professional runner. He's not like you who celebrates when Kerr "beats" Jakob by finishing second at Paris.
I celebrate Jakob being beaten by anyone. It's always enjoyable to see the big-mouth go down.

Bayi had malaria. He wouldn't have won if he had competed. Walker was Olympic 1500 champion and mile world record-holder (and the first under 3:50). Ingebrigtsen has never achieved that double. He also had a great kick. Ingebrigtsen doesn't.

He races the 1500 more than any other event. So that's his main event - unless you don't understand English. It just doesn't happen to be his best event.

Nope. He's going to keep getting beaten over the 1500/mile by the next guy. They've caught up with him and have better finishes. He is unlikely to get the 5k wr and he will never figure in the 10k.

Walker won the Olympic final he had to win, and he was also the mile world record-holder. That's a double Ingebrigtsen has never achieved.

Elliot and Snell were the world record-holders well as being Olympic champions. Ingebrigtsen has never done that. They also never lost a championship race or any other big race in their career over their main distances. They completely dominated their opposition. He hasn't. He has kept losing in his main event.

I know we’re communicating via keyboards, but I’m sure your mouth never stops irl.
Ingebrigtsen would have been beaten by Kerr, Fisher and Hocker.
This is nonsense. Fisher was in Ingebrigtsen's WR 3000m race and finished DFL. He was 3rd in the 2023 Eugene DL, almost 2s behind Ingebrigtsen (who had run the 3rd fastest mile of all time the day prior). Ingebrigtsen is 3-0 lifetime against Fisher at 3000m (and the same at 5000m). There is absolutely zero evidence that shows Fisher is capable of beating Ingebrigtsen over 3000m. Meanwhile Hocker is 0-2 against Fisher at 3000m and two miles (and the same at 5000m).
I'll admit you'd have liked the Kerr of last year's indoor season in the Nanjing 3000m, but the only result he's posted this year is a DNS, and you have no clue as to what kind of shape he's in after dealing with illness and injury.
The second fastest 3K runner of all time is not one of the best over 3K.
Great logic.
Ingebrigtsen would have been beaten by Kerr, Fisher and Hocker.
Coulda woulda shoulda doesn't get you pregnant, sorry to say. Those losers should have showed up to the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS if they wanted the recognition and glory, instead of ignoring their fans.
