There is a chance Fries runs it, but holding out hope he gets the Golden Ticket! I heard Tyler Flippen is running, Semling is not.

Since its national signing day, here is a list of some of the top MN seniors who have committed so far:

U of M and St. Thomas doing a good job keeping some in-state talent!

Most of the top girls have committed, but waiting on more of the boys.

I didn't realize that many Seniors had committed already! Almost every top girl has found a home. On the boys side Stuwe is obviously the biggest name who has yet to commit, I hope the Gophers are able to get him, but it will also be interesting to see where well established names like Obst, Bortnem, and Dougherty go. Along with Seniors like Farah and Jacobson who both came on strong late in the year.

Looking at 4AAA boys results, oh wow… what happened to White Bear Lake?

I knew they would have trouble making state after losing so many guys, but last place at sections?

Every year they seemed to either qualify for state or being close to doing it

And next year 6AAA is gonna be even tougher than this year. Edina will be better than this year, but will be up against Wayzata and Washburn (they are only losing Guertin).

Robbinsdale Armstrong and Hopkins took 4th and 5th at sections and will have most of their guys back too.

Edina always seems to reload and do well at NXR, even after they graduate 6 of their varsity runners.

I think this was the greatest season by a MN HS boys runner ever. Fries has a good case for being considered the great HS XC runner of all time in MN. He has the fastest 5K time in state history, on the national level he finished 7th at NXN and 5th at Brooks. He also set the MN State Course record along with the course records at St Olaf and Gale Woods. Based on these accomplishments I can't think of any other athlete that can compete with that.
