Well, the previous poster is not wrong. His teams at FSU had a decidedly international flavor during his Championship years, and lets not forget the stripped and vacated NCAA D-1 titles when he let the control of his program get away from him. It happens. It happened to McDonnell as well.

That is Idaho State. Both are Big Sky programs. I think both have openings.

Idaho is in the pan handel, near Spokane.

Idaho State is in sparsely populated southeastern Idaho, a couple hours drive from Salt Lake City.

Every coach there has had issues. I have no insider info, but they go through coaches like hot cakes.

This means they either have a habit of hiring terrible coaches, or they are terrible at supporting coaches. Probably a little of both.

If you need to add 2-3 years of D1 coaching experience to your resume, then it's an okay job. If you expect to turn that program into a winner, you need to ask the admins why they have had so many issues with coaches and see if you get an honest answer.

Not every job is a good job. In fact, most collegiate coaching jobs are bad jobs in the non-coaching world.

This job ranks near the bottom.

Not to oversimplify it, but there are probably a hundred coaches in the NCAA who could accomplish these things or better if they had the resources Braman had there. It doesn’t take much to rack up accomplishments like that at a Power 5 school if you just keep turning up, doesn’t really require actual coaching.
