Either way this was the workout that he did that was referenced in the other thread, what do you want me to say.
I know in 2021 before his European 5000m record of 12:48 he apparently did 4x5x400m starting at 55 and closing in 52. Last year before his 2 mile world record he did a workout of 6x800m with the first 2 in 2:00, the next 2 in 1:55, and the last 2 in 1:49.5
As a big Nuguse fan, I would have been happy if he’d run 3:28.99, and especially if he’d held on for 2nd in 3:28.70. As is it’s slightly disappointing, but at least he went for it, and stayed on his feet after being clipped 100m in. He’s still in a great place 3 weeks out from the OG, Jakob is just on a different level than anyone.

I think the issue was Tim looked tougher and better. If you want to win a bronze, he is a similar profile of athlete.
Jakob just broke 3:27, he ran 3:26.73 and made it look easy beating the field by 2 seconds. He's in world record shape for the 1500, right now. Boy did he look good. He seemed much fresher than the 3:43 plus mile from last year. I think he is in the best shape of his life. Watch out world!
He is NOT in world record shape for the 1500m right now, knocking off over 0.7 seconds is going to take a herculean effort, even with proper pacing that wouldn't have happened (would have been right around 3:26.3-3:26.4 given his last lap).
Am I saying he can't break the record? No. But had he been in shape to do it right now, he would have done it, he ran the ideal first 800 time yet still came over 0.7 seconds short.
I went through the rig-a-ma-roll of getting a VPN and registering at BBC, but they still said it’s not available in my area. They didn’t like the PISTCODE selected?
make sure that your VPN isn't making you appear to come from a US address. I assume that you want it to appear as a UK address, to access BBC content.
you can check where you appear to come from by browsing to whatismyip.com - make sure that the "My IP Location" is not in the US.
The BBC has proxy piercing. I don't know of anyone it has worked for. It doesn't work for me either.

He got near-perfect pacing and draft to 1100. Can’t ask for much more. The time is spectacular so no need to cheapen it.
The ideal first 800? His first 800 was 1:51.2. Ideal would be like 1:50.5
Yeah he's slowly working down to it. 2.46.37 at 1200 today which was about 3/10ths faster than Silesia too.
Interesting stat - when El G ran the WR he was 2.46.34 at 1200 so basically the exact same as Jakob. Jakob closed in 40.36 - Hicham in 39.66. Would have been kind of incredible to watch El G space Jakob by basically 5m in that final 300....
