No chance. If we learn anything from history, once sin enters the world, transgression will only become bigger and stronger over the time, pushing people further away from the truth. GOP is lost as a party of conservatives. GOP is now Trump party. Anyone against it will be crushed along the way. Third party is America’s only chance of salvation, no matter how small the chance is.
History has always proven the political parties that fail to adapt die. Adapt meaning changing their platforms to keep voters on their side and entice voters to switch over. It is obvious the Republican party was dying during the years following Bush Jr. Rather than adapt Republicans held on and devolved.
The current group that calls itself Republican is nothing of the kind. It is possible for the Republican party to rebuild, but it has to cast aside the a lot to get there. For starters, impeach SCOTUS justices Thomas and Alito, and put all the justices on notice that they must be non-political or they will be impeached.
The best way to get both parties to adapt more is to eliminate the Electoral College. That would result in each party having to create a platform that appealed to at more than 50% of the voters.

Trump's daddy had bodyguards for him as a child. None of his siblings got that. Why? Because he was a bully (mentally weak) and his father knew he would be destroyed in a fight.
