Philly Bowden - still hasn't explained why she got kicked off of New Balance, but is now flogging a dead horse trying to put endless positive spins on her 72" Half in Berlin. Her latest video is unfinishable.
Think she was on a gear-only deal, guess NB was banking on the outside chance she made the Olympic or Worlds team in the marathon?
I dont think she lives in Manchester either so distance + not getting free kit anymore = split
Nobody is querying the Valencia course or that he covered the entire course in the stated time on the stated date.( we aren't in Runners World Editor territory here). His career race profile is the thing.
And the London sub 2.30 runners knew who he was beforehand because of his YouTube presence and rampant self promotion. But it seems noone of his level KNEW him in person.
I'm struggling to understand what your point is here. You're upset that he says his marathon PB is 2:25 because it is in fact.......2:25? If you think he's the only runner whose PB is a chunk faster than his nearest effort then you're sadly mistaken; it's immensely common with sub-elite runners and hobbyjoggers. It's certainly true of me, over multiple distances. Heck, even the pros will regularly have stand-out outlier performances.
And then you are stating that it's really weird that he didn't 'know' some other random club runners in London. London has a population of 9 million. Ben, from what I have seen on his youtube, trains almost exclusively alone. So why *would* he know them?
It's more about having an opportunity for people to ask questions about his free expenses paid trips.
Why? They can contact him through his channels if they want to.
Hard to see why other London 2:25 guys would even care about tha anyway?. Most of them will be working full time with families and probably have very little interest in how Ben's specific finances work.
I don't particularly like his content, but I'm also struggling to understand what the argument against him here even is?
are people just bored because Seth is out of the game and so need to find new youtubers to pick on? no one is able to command the attention adn criticism that seth could. stop trying

I watched Seth's videos daily when there was a thread about him. Some people say he asked Letsrun to delete that thread. Since then I haven't watched 3 of his videos and that's been what? A year?

Seth has kinda disappeared. Barely posts anymore. Doesn't even race anymore. He was always kinda irrelevant, I don't think he was missed as much as he hoped he would..
when are we getting the Sage and Serious Runner podcast? add in a few other people and it could be a Relay rival
I just want to hear more poems from the serious runner
I do think this could be a fun podcast. they're friends in real life. the way serious runner pokes fun at sage in the videos means that it'd probably be candid, not like buttering up the guest podcasts that sux. and there both on this thread, so we could help them
I see in Seth's latest video we're treated to more open mouth chewing of chips. I'll never forget the video of the wife talking while eating nachos in Mexico. That's an image that can't be unseen.

The points I made seem to have been taken on board by those who upvoted the post.i chose my words and am not inclined to alter or add to them. I made two points in the same post.
It's possible you are better versed than i am in the PB trajectories over time of "sub elite runners". But, due respect,I'd think not highly probable .

I'm sure you think you sound wise and mysterious right now but you sound like an idiot who can't explain what he was talking about because it was nonsense.
I think some are mad he states 2:25 marathoner when his current times are nearer 2:40 however I would counter saying on almost everything thread you have times quoted from years ago or predicted on what they could run from there Xxx pace over xxx distance on the track lol.
There are lots of “fast” non club runners here in the UK that train alone, it’s not really surprising that they don’t know one another.
I assume Ben is a member of a club to get discounts with UKA coaching material, race discounts and website discounts.
