I never made any claim that I made more than any investor on this site. The one poster made a comment that I did, and I just stated that they (meaning anyone who didn't do as well as me or had as much as me) would be typical, because chasing tops and bottoms is typically a losing strategy.

So, NO, nothing I have said here is false, patently or otherwise.

Wrong. The Artisan Mid-cap fund is up 61.27% as of today's YTD reporting. Sorry dude, you are wrong.

Flagpole, the Fidelity Contrafund is NOT up 31% this year. It is up only 18% YTD. Are you just making up numbers???

Flagpole, i accept that. I am a reasonable guy and if you intended something that i understood differently, okay, let's move on.

First, the midcap you reference was never once up 60% YTD this year as you claim and not even close. I checked.

Like Pavlov’s dog, the Fed has conditioned investors to “buy on the dip” regardless of price. Yet every share of stock has to be held by someone at every point in time. I have to look back to see exactly what I stated but I don’t think that i stated that no one is beating Flagpole percentage wise.

But anyways, it is true that everyone here buying and selling constantly are doing worse than just committing a large sum, diversified and consistently contributing to your funds.

I see Maserati stating about buying PYPL, TSLA, and other winners of this year and still not performing as well as just buying and holding as he is jumping in and out. Or, just not committing enough money into it like only investing $10k into Bitcoin.

I just thought it’s hilarious that all of you constantly go back and forth where market is going up or market is going down.

Anyways, I don’t really invest in Flagpole’s method except for my 401k that I max out and 10% more as after tax. Rest of my money which most of my money, I have made by riding AMZN for the last 6 years and then TSLA for this year. Now, I’m diversified but still hold good amount of AMZN and TSLA.

I do take risks with individual stocks with significant amount of money. I’m still relatively young so I invest a big portion thats more risky.

But overall, I’ve been doing well bc I hold handful of stocks that I believe will continue to be big 10-20 years from now.

But biggest reason that my net worth has grown is that im very frugal relative to my income which allows me to have high savings rating that allows me to take risks and allows me to hold during market downturn.

The analyst rating is as of that date.

The YTD is states this - "YTD Fund as of Dec 24, 2020"

I have already answered the mid-cap question. Yes, that Fidelity mid-cap fund is my ONLY mid-cap fund.

I’m not sure why you’re so against Flagpole. Whether or not his percentage that he stated is exactly right or wrong, the way that he’s invested, he’s able to retire now in his 50s in comfort. That’s the important part. It’s all about getting to our goals of financial freedom by investing.

Also, Flagpole invests just like you do, Sally. Which is holding funds for long term and reaping benefits from it.

Now, beyond the above, you losers need to quit thinking about investing as a big dick contest. No, none of you are smart investors. I am not a smart investor and never claimed to be. What I DO is smart though...get rid of debt and invest, invest, invest, and diversify. I do not follow trends. I do not try to outthink the market or other investors. I simply put money in like clockwork and without fail. That's what you should all be doing.
