On futures overnight messageboard, futures down for SNP 500 and Dow, but Nasdaq just slightly up. One poster explains it;"Nasdaq got COVID-19 vaccine injection before all other indecies"
Thought you would want to know.

From that era, or thereabouts, I liked Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, Supertramp, Queen, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Scorpions, ELO, Blondie, Heart, Tom Petty, Red Rider, and, mostly, Bob Dylan. Most on that list are still to my taste, maybe a few have fallen out of favour.
When I hear Blondie I think of a small in height sprinter I coached. He would mention how he would like to take her and imitate holding a huge male member with both hands. Bob Dylan and Dire Straits are in my favs.
Yep lots of ground to catch up for that xmas bonus.
If this is the beginning of any kind of real selloff, great! I have a feeling that things will recover.
Just turned on CNBC for the first time in many months, and noticed that they have a bitcoin ticker along with the major indexes. That’s absurd, an advertiser must have paid for it.

Stairway to Heaven last dance, LMFAO! I think you and I are exactly the same age. The ridiculous part was when it went uptempo at the end, nobody knew what to do?.
exactly. Bunch of confused 14 year olds.

Hey agip how about Ronnie Wood’s earlier band Faces, with Rod Stewart. Some really good material there that sounds to me like it was used later by many, including maybe Zep.
Kashmir!
I do love me some Faces. The opening riff to Stay With Me is immortal and always puts me in a good mood. Ooh La La makes me feel sophisticated and wise, You Wear it Well is that laid back 'day after' sort of song that rock does really well. I suppose that last is Rod, not Faces, but whatever.
Love this video of Faces with Rod having to have a cheat sheet to remember the words. So young. Such a good chill vibe from that band.

Stones- you are on to something there. What band from that era has aged as well, adapted, grown, improved, and remained intact? They win, though the Who have held up pretty well, too,
Keith is such a great guitarist.
The Stones have a really nice balance between reaping the benefits of heavy production, done meticulously, and maintaining a loose rocking groove sound (read, Keith RIchards guitar prowess and not being a slave to being on the beat).
David Bowie is an example of good music but just over produced for the most part.
Good stuff.
Stones are trash - just a soft rock copy cat of The Who. The pinnacle of when it was more about the lifestyle and snorting dead people's ashes than it was about the actual music.
Anyways, this could go on forever and I'm not about to debate a bunch of boomers on if Janis Joplin was overrated or not (she was). Futures down pretty hard despite stimulus deal being passed. Just another day in 2020

Gonna go out on a limb here and say you were probably into disco
Yes Stones are trash, but sometimes trash is enjoyable.
Definitely not “important “ music.
I’m thinking of picking up some more AAL.

possibly the worst music criticism of all time.
factually wrong and irrationally arrogant.
But I'll let it slide because it's Xmas
Keith Richards. Incredible.

I listened to a blog that played some Zep songs back-to-back with songs they obviously ripped off. It was amazing to learn what ripoff artists they were. Still a great band.
I’ll see if I can find that blog later. I’m off to bed now.
I’ve located this podcast that I was thinking of yesterday. I found it on TuneIn, though it is probably also available elsewhere. The name of the podcast is “Just Four Guys” and it was hosted by Ray Whitaker and produced by mvyradio. There are two one-hour episodes titled “The Tune Piracy of Led Zeppelin” and they are dated 4/20/2019 and 4/27/2019.
The “Just Four Guys” shows began as a Beatles influenced program, but morphed over time into much more. So don’t be put off if you hear some Beatles snippets during the show’s intro. These two episodes are devoted entirely to Led Zep’s pilphering and the consequences they sometimes faced for that.

the idea of pilfering in music was much less set in stone in the 60s and even the 70s...they didn't have as firm views on what belonged to who. There was widespread copying - it wasnt' considered shameful back then, as much. You did what you had to do to get people to buy a ticket or album.
Got some more bitcoin
Futures clawing back a bit
Bought more AAL
Maybe markets think the deal is lackluster and there won't be another one? No way Repubs are gonna give Biden anything. They will just sandbag like they did for Obama.
ok one last music post from me. Unless Racket decides to declare that David Bowie was a cheap ripoff of Dinah Shore.
Peter Jackson is doing a doc on the making of Let it Be and he just released a montage from the movie. Fun to see the Beatles having fun and being relaxed in the studio. Rather than the tense, beat-up look we know from that period, esp because we know it was a last hurrah.
And seeing John being very silly is always a good reminder that the Saint John image that has been cast in iron...isn't really accurate. he was very silly a lot of the time.
Amazing to think they did all that before 30. Then..it was over.

I actually like Bowie so no qualm there. The Beatles are an interesting case study and since many books have been written on that subject I'll avoid it here.
Looks like it might be an interesting week for the market. Maybe Mas' Illuminati billionaire friends just now remembered to get their mistresses Christmas gifts and they're all selling stock to buy diamond necklaces and fully optioned G-wagons
I’ve been a TSLA bull and have bought a lot when stocks were much cheaper at around April before this gigantic run up. I believe that they have a bright future with what they can do.
Prior to this weekend, I’ve never actually driven a Tesla as the price point has been too expensive for me to actually buy one.
But now, used Model S are starting to be affordable and I bought one this weekend which is 2012 Model S P85 with 124K miles for $23.2K.
I am just blown away with this car and it came out in 2012! It gets 265 miles in range, 0-60 in 4 sec. drives really well, super comfortable, super modern.
Tesla is miles and miles ahead of its competition and it’s going to be like Apple taking over the phone market. Eventually, 1 in 3 or 4 cars will be Tesla. Their supercharging network is great where I can easily travel cross country with no range anxiety. Now that I own a Tesla, I’m considering to buy their solar panels and battery packs as well. I’m becoming their “sticky” customer where I would buy everything else that they make just like what Apple does with their customers.
If you own TSLA, I would definitely hold for the next 10 years. It will be a very volatile ride, and I’m sure we will experience a huge crash eventually. Probably not one but many mini crashes. But Tesla is the real deal and it will dominate the world’s energy, transportation, and whatever else Tesla gets into. I’m confidently adding more position even at today’s price.
Don’t let the bears on this board to scare you. I’m sure when TSLA dips big like a 50% drop, they’ll all come out and say how wrong I am where this post will be bookmarked. But if you have the stomach to ride it out, it will reward you handsomely in the future.
