What the heck are you talking about? Unions overwhelmingly vote for Democrats. The dichotomy that is not discussed enough, however, is how Democrats are able to simultaneously court both minorities and unions (which were originally founded to prevent immigrants and minorities from gaining meaningful employment, a task they still achieve to this day).
interesting question. the conventional wisdom is that 'working class' 'blue collar' workers have become Republicans, as an anti-elite vote. Makes no sense I know, but stay with me. And union workers are by definition 'working class.'
But yeah I dunno how UAW workers vote. Probably the white ones vote for trump and everyone else votes for Biden. Guessing.
