He seems like a nice young man. I don't think he's overly confident and admits being introverted.
I think he's taken the leap from auditing to being a running coach (online, of course). So, the video is not completely out of context.
I do, though, wonder who is using his coaching services. I don't think he's been running long!
Yeah I like his instagram reels, he seems like a good lad. Not sure what direction the YouTube is going but will give it a chance while he figures it out. Hopefully it won’t turn into another Ben is Running where he just takes everything every shoe brand offers.
Agree. Gibsta content has always been good as his social media content has always come second to training. Hope that doesn’t change.
Interesting… I’ve not heard of this before? Interestingly, it’s the only one that’s come up with the right GPS length (not that that’s a reliable metric!)… Hereford comes up short and Battersea was very long!
I’ve picked races to do that all have distance certificates so I’d hope it’s legit!
yeah but look at your activity. Obviously the start and finish will be quick but your upload has you running at 2:54/km, 2:58/km, 2:40/km, 2:49/km, 2:58/km & 2:55/km at random points in the middle of the race, so either you're putting in massive moves or the GPS is skipping which means it shows as 5.0km sooner than it should = short.
Battersea only comes up as long because the section by the roundabout after the 90* left hand turn also has a big GPS skip in it + is run almost entirely under tree coverage
Yes I surged alot during this race… I haven’t studied the GPS but I’d expect the surges to be after the 1st K? I settled for the first K then just kept surging hard through to about 4.5K, by which time I was cooked. Around 3K I put in a really really hard surge so I’d expect that’s where the quickest surge was? I’ll have to take a look later myself in more detail.
Sure, but its not like there's an impeccable record for correctly measured courses in the area already.
In the same park, Park Run & Podium 5k both come up long on GPS, but the SSAFA 5k course at absolute best comes up at exactly 5k, and there's plenty of 4.9k strava uploads - I've seen a number of 4.8k uploads too.

Exactly. And again, races in the same park that also can suffer from GPS oddities end up with really long GPS. I've run the Park Run there enough times and seen the first and last km measure really long.
I can understand this… on the course there’s quite a thick tree section from around 2.5/3.5K so I appreciate there’s probably some spots along that route… I just wanted to clarify that there was a lot of surging going on!
ideally you need open country lanes to avoid tree coverage and no tight turns or small loops (as I know GPS is generous on small loops)
I've run many a track 5000 that's come up at 5.0 or 4.9k. So are there lots of 399m long tracks in south London, am I cutting corners, or are you spouting absolute nonsense?
Spencer and Seth should wager quitting youtube. Spencer should easily win except he is injured and has declined and Seth is super compensated from Colfax half and will probably beat him.
Continuing the new feature on this sub which I will sporadically post over the next few weeks/months. Lots of big match ups of 32 ‘influencers’.
*****Earlier matches on previous pages. Will collate the first round results when all matches played to see who has made the next round (so still time to vote) ******
Culminating in the crowning of our favourite YouTuber. We like to mock and laugh at many on here but who do we actually like? Who escapes our ire and gets to be crowned champion. Vote either up or down depending on your choice.
Round 1 - match 10/16.
Feel free to comment as to why you came to this judgement.
Well done to him for being able to pace a 1:18 half up to 9 miles. Thats insane lol, so ridiculously quick anyway but he reveals later in his video is PR is like 1:11 - baffling how good some people can be. Makes you wonder how quick he would be if he started running younger. I think he has the natural talent of a 2:12 marathoner.
But yeah great vide from Floberg and that treadmill looks amazing. Looking forward to hearing more about that along with his new RTJ harder not smarter mileage mindset. Think he is going to PB huge in his next marathon.
I don't know why you comment on posts by trolls who are trying to bully you by questioning your achievements. When you stoop to their level, you gain nothing. I think it's better not to respond to the doubters' comments at all.
