This guy clearly fabricated his resume wrote:

Jonathon Behnke also claimed to be an AA in juco in the 800 in 1999. He was not in either indoor or outdoor. Apparently, this kid lied about his personal experience, his athletes being AA, one school record, being a national champion, what else? Why would UALR HIRE him? Did they not background check him and his claims? Has anyone sent this to UALR admin?

Well it looks like his 4x800 was top 8 so that's not false. It seems as though Bigelow would have been All-American under the new rules the very next year, just not that year. Interesting.

He does have a school record at LSSU. I wouldn't be so sure he's lying about anything but the Bigelow thing, and to be honest I feel like I would consider him an AA too. Yes, I understand that he was NOT.

Maybe he was NOT top 8 in the 800, but was an AA after they remove foreigners? They used to do that back then. I guess we'd have to hear from someone in the know.

Anyway. Back to the postings. I can only imagine people who care about this are scorned former applicants trying to justify why they weren't chosen.

Who cares. The AD at Arkansas-Little Rock doesn't care as well as other ADs

I looked at another bio of another recently hired head coach and it said in four years they tutored 63 individual Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) champions and 182 all-conference finishers as an assistant coach. Funny the program didn't have that many for the entire program during that span. I will assume that is a typo and meant to read that was for his entire 17 year career mostly at a mid major.

The accomplishments are irrelevant, the lying is the issue. This guy lacks integrity.

Do any of you guys even know this guy? He got hired, get over it and apply for other jobs. Jeeze!

Yeah, the best part about this situation is I think that someone on here, maybe more, actually think that this could be submitted to the AD at UALR, he would be outraged, fire this coach and then the position would open up again! Laughable!

Speaking as a high school ad with no rat in the race, y'all are as shameful as this dude with the fake ass resume. Fabricating experience on a job app/interview is a big deal, and I don't know that I would want somebody that kind of lapse in integrity near my athletes. Once a liar, always a liar.

It’s college coaching. Head coaches hire pretty females with no experience that can’t coach themselves out of a brown paper bag to save their lives. You wanna crusade against something, then crusade against that first, it is certainly happening more than this guys situation.

Hey, anybody know of a NYC-area college that could use a volunteer assistant?

I left coaching when my kids were little. They're grown now, and I'm semi-retired--set my own times for the work that I do, so I have complete schedule flexibility. Had gigs as assistant (in each event group: mid/dist, sprint/hurdle/jumps, throws/multis) and head coach, at D1 and (mostly) D3 schools.

Anyway, if you know of any opening for a volunteer please post!

Depends on if their single or not and if its a female head coach. Married men usually hire the least attractive to keep peace in the household. Female head coaches NEVER hire the pretty female coach. Who knows why. Otherwise it pays to be hot. Such is life
