another point is, for Igy's sake and for the sake of many others, let's hope all those rural states nothern states don't go the same path as ND.
Our daughter just emailed me that jury trials in Idaho have been suspended until January 4, 2021. Parties are encouraged to pursue arbitration when appropriate.
Oh, that's special! Arbitrating our differences is a skill of a bygone era, rarely seen in this day and age, is it not?
Okay, back to fighting.

Speaking of fighting, she has a trial in Murphy, Idaho. Tiny county seat in southwestern part of the state on January 19th. I told her she needed to ride in on a horse. She said that is appropriate since it is a dispute over moldy hay. Evidently one party claims the spoiled hay was covered by good hay, while the opposing party says the complaint was late, and spoilage due to incorrect storage. Daughter worked in family law for Idaho Legal Aid for several years, now does primarily contract law.
Nice.
The last jury case i got stuck on about a year ago involved a drug dealer reputedly snatching the purse of a stripper on the streetcorner in the wee hours of the morning and since she made a call to the police, it had to be prosecuted even though she dropped the charge. Turns out the drug dealer was already in prison for other stuff.
How different could that be?!
The whole thing made me sick to my stomach.
Five days of my life.

Me and hundreds of millions of other Americans in the same boat.
It's like counting my blessings that a helicopter has not fallen out of the sky onto me.

not to quibble over the analogy, but ...this whole thing is premised on consideration for the whole community, not just on you.
Taking the necessary precautions and safeguards is not just protecting yourself, it is protecting others as well. When a helicopter falls out of sky and kills you, it just kills you. But when you get infected with the virus, you are risking your own life as well as everyone else's in your community because you may be passing it along.
And in that regard, 240,000 dead Americans is nothing to belittle. And counting,

Passed over and released last time I was in the jury pool. Relief really, previous two times were similar crimes: bar robbery and road rage. Here is Murphy, Idaho. Actually a cool area the borders the Owyhee Mountains of Idaho and Nevada (named by early fur trappers, Hawaiian reminded him of island mountains).
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murphy,_IdahoReally hope this is realized:
AI is nothing but pie-in-the-sky bs, basically just into statistics at $1000 an hour. But quantum computing is huge. In my opinion that will 1970s-80s the economy all over again (the good parts I mean)

just once I'd like Hussman to say 'eh this market is a overvalued, at around the 60th percentile. Not a huge deal but be careful.'
It's always 'THE MOST OVERVALUED SINCE THE TULIP CRAZE'

good point.
Q;: What do you call an overvalued market that is likely to get even more overvalued?
A.: A buying opportunity.

Yes if you buy the Index then those type of charts ring true
If you exclude Tech from that graph it will look a lot more appealing so this might be a lot more reminiscent of 2000 where a lot of stock other than tech actually did quite well

No one is denying that the market is overvalued. The question is, “Does it matter?” Recent history suggests it may not.
Prediction.
Massive national lockdown is coming and will last for at least four months with it remaining partially in force for much longer.
This will finish the destruction of the economy.
The market will then inevitably crash. In 2021. Dow will fall below 13,000

Goldman forecasts SP500 at 4300 in 14 months. that's a 20% move up
The Goldman team boosted its year-end price target on the S&P 500 SPX, -0.14% to 3700 from 3600, which isn’t so far away from Tuesday’s closing level of 3545.53. Goldman is also targeting 4300 by the end of 2021 and 4600 by the end of 2022.

this.
Value has been roaring this week, and small caps are moving well too.
At some point those sectors and emerging markets will outperform.
Remember that after the tech bust, small cap and emerging markets did very well.

They’re just doing this now? Other states suspended jury trials months ago.
