I was neither a JAG nor a targeting expert when I was in the military, but I know enough about the (quaint, old) targeting process to know that the JAGs had a very prominent seat(s) at the table.

The president has ordered murders. This is an obvious high crime. A serious country would impeach, remove and jail this authoritarian American hater before he expands his list of 'terrorists' needing killing. We know he will expand that list that's what dictators do. You shrug and say 'eh who cares about that guy they killed' and then he's coming after you.

Venezuela doesn't traffic fentanyl. It's mostly cocaine and even then they pale in comparison to what we get from Columbia. Highest estimates could pin around 2% of total drug deaths in the US on Venezuela. None of this has anything to do with drug deaths or he would be going after higher value targets.

This is different the US has been meddling in Venezuela since 98 when Hugo Chavez won. Years later you have Trump and Biden recognizing this nobody Juan Guaido as president.
