The 'explanation' is complete crap. The video shows it's pass interference, not facegaurding. The refs never criticize one of their own. No experts or analysts have said otherwise. You are wrong.

Well, when someone's job is NFL officiating, I tend to think of them as experts. I am going to go with their call over the "analysts" who are ex football players who can barely utilize the english language like cris carter or ray lewis.

Thats BS, I saw the pass interference, Chris Christie was in the Jerrys Box and Jerry Jones is rich and has influence over the refs. Blood money, the NFL is dead.
The analysts have the benefit of reviewing the play repeatedly. They know the rules and are more likely to be right. Some of them are former refs. If you think a former ref, player or coach don't know rules, you are the idiot. These are the majority of analysts. Not to mention the fact the ref on the field saw and correctly called PI. The video confirms this. Pulling on Pettigrew's jersey was holding. Pushing Pettigrew on the shoulder downfield was PI. If you have eyes and a brain you know this. You seem to be lacking one of the two.

that is not correct. what ultimately matters is what the league says and the NFL should make a statement tomorrow either saying the refs got it right or the refs screwed up. the NFL has said that the refs screwed up a call many times before.
can you be any more biased? the video doesn't show it was PI -- your BIASED opinion says it was PI but that was a very tenuous call at best and, regardless, a judgment call which isn't absolute. it's not the same thing as a non-judgment call (eg, did the player step out of bounds or did the ball go through the uprights?)
Refs helped Dallas big time.

If you could read (you said "dont know the rules" as opposed to "doesn't know the rules" so you may be a redneck and unable to read) then you would see the call was made by the back judge, who didn't have the best view. The call is over turned by the official with the better view. This is common practice. The only error was announcing the call prior to the refs consulting with each other. This was a mistake but was understandable due to this crew not working together prior to the playoffs. I could look back on plenty of questionable calls throughout the game, the point is it doesn't matter. Dallas won, Detroit lost.

No the video doesn't show it's pass interference but either way the line judge overturned the call w/o video. You can scream and cry like Suh all you want but the call was overturned on the field. If you don't like the call then stop following the NF: and find a sport where there is no cheating.

I think what happens is that a lot of people watch football during the playoffs who don't really know football.
I'll grant you your premise. Let's say that the refs blew the call. How many other chances did the Lions have? Many.
There was a questionable call of running into the punter early in the game followed by a no-call on much worse contact later in the game. During the play in question Pettigrew tried to create separation by pushing off and wasn't called for that either. There were numerous missed illegal contact penalties on BOTH sides that could have been called.
Bottom line, Cowboys stepped up when it counted and Lions folded. Anything else is crybaby stuff, so suck it.

-If Hitchens had actually played to the ball, like he is supposed to, he would have had the easiest pick of the season. It was right on his jersey.
The video does clearly show PI. Do you temporarily go blind when Hitchens extends his arms and pushes Pettigrew well downfield with the ball in the air? That's pass interference. You certainly don't pick up the flag after it's called. I can only assume you have no knowledge of the rules. Facegaurding doesn't include shoving the intended receiver. He also held Pettigrew. The video shows this definitively. It's not even debatable unless you are talking out of your ass.
If Stafford didn't fumble twice during the last drive, the Lions might've had a chance.
