With the season beginning soon who are some teams battling in early season meets? Many of the GLIAC schools should be at Michigan state for the Spartan invite in a couple weeks.

Regional pre-season rankings are out:
MIDWEST Region (5 auto quals)
Rank School Location Conference
2014 FINAL
1 Grand Valley State Allendale, Mich. GLIAC
2 Southern Indiana Evansville, Ind. GLVC
3 UW-Parkside Kenosha, Wis. GLVC
4 Ashland Ashland, Ohio GLIAC
5 Malone Canton, Ohio GLIAC
6 Ferris State Big Rapids, Mich. GLIAC
7 Hillsdale Hillsdale, Mich. GLIAC
8 Indianapolis Indianapolis, Ind. GLVC
9 Cedarville Cedarville, Ohio G-MAC
10 Trevecca Nazarene Nashville, Tenn. G-MAC
Only five GLIAC schools....should be good motivation for SVSU, Wayne State, Walsh, Mich Tech. I think the rankers got the top five right here, however.
I think they left out Lewis. Unless they have had some people leave the team they should definitely be in the top 10 and possibly top 5. GVSU, USI & UWP are the only teams I would definitely put ahead of Lewis. The others in contention for the two remaining spots besides Lewis I'd say are Hillsdale, SVSU, Malone, Indianapolis and Ashland. But we'll be getting a clearer picture soon enough.
howd everyone run this weekend?
Bellarmine is a school that surprised. Sat out a couple of their top guys as well. Although they most likely raced and USI tempo'd I still think they are still a team that could challenge for a ticket to nationals. First week though so it's hard to tell.
Ashland is without Hall as expected so they won't be a top 5 caliber team.
Indianapolis looked decent 1-4 but their 5 is shaky.
Hillsdale its hard to tell because the paces listed are obviously not real
what times did bellarmine run? Svsu and hillsdale ran a 5k. Malone yet to race

I heard Hillsdale's race was about 600m short due to the gator taking a wrong turn and the runners following it
Hillsdale! Wow! Should be a disappointing season!
Sat Cody Parks and Thomas Cave. Not sure if they're injured or what but with those two added they are in the convo at the regional
Were u joking about Bellarmine!? USI destroyed them! Wasn't even a contest besides their top guy! Better luck next year!

I heard today that Lewis is redshirting 3 of their top 4 guys this season (Asher Scott being the one exception). Looks like they're hoping for something big in 2016 and 2017.
USI is also a top team in the nation so they should get destroyed.
Outside of GVSU and USI who is head above heels better than them based on previous results. I don't think you can make an argument for anyone besides Parkside considering Lewis redshirting their top 3 guys from last year
I said they could compete for top 5 in the region. If you add Parks and Cave in there, they deserve to be in the conversation.
Yeah, they have an article on their sight stating the top 3 are redshirting. Now they still have Asher Scott, two sub 26 guys and Jelimo (just over 26 last year) so they are probably capable of top 10. Top 5 is a stretch. I think Hillsdale and Indianapolis have a good shot. When SVSU runs their full squad we'll see what they can do. MSU meet should give a better picture.
I must've missed that on their website. It's going to be very interesting to see which teams rise to the occasion this season. After Grand Valley and USI, it's pretty open for those last three spots. Like you said, MSU will give a better picture of the GLIAC schools. USI and UIndy will both be at the Indiana Intercollegiate meet in Terre Haute in a couple weeks too for their first 8Ks of the season. I think Bellarmine, Lewis, and St. Joseph's usually go to Notre Dame for the National Catholic Championship that same weekend.
It's mentioned on the preview for Lewis's home meet this past weekend.
Ferris State is ranked sixth in the region but has not been mentioned on here?
