She’s no longer listed in the 800 heats listing, but still showing in the 5.
They remove the name from today's events first, and then tomorrow's at a later time. Same thing happened with Stewy scratching 1500 + 5km. Wouldn't be surprised if Jess doesn't race again at these champs.
I can’t work out how to upload screenshots but yep the Herald Sun have confirmed Jess has been pulled out of the champs. Something I didn’t consider until I saw in some social comments - but she hit her head hard on the track too. Hopefully there’s no concussion or lingering head injury either.
While Hollingsworth’s actions were accidental, they did feel reckless. In football (soccer), a player can be shown a red card for an accidental but reckless challenge that endangers an opponent’s safety. This feels like a similar principle could apply here (not suggesting football rules apply directly), especially given how badly it could have ended for Hull when you see how hard she hit the ground.
Hollingsworth may receive a monetary benefit for winning, but I personally would have accepted the disqualification. She was unlikely to beat Hull if she had been more careful and slightly slowed to go around the outside. This is without even considering the impediment to Caldwell, who likely would have finished second.
It is a lose–lose–lose situation. If Hollingsworth goes on to win more 1500 m championships, this will likely be forgotten. However, if this remains her only title and she publicly claims it, it may not feel entirely legitimate to those who saw what happened. I feel sorry for Hull, Caldwell, and Hollingsworth (in that order).

Maybe accidental, but her poor positioning and race tactics are no one else's problem but hers. Jess had every right to protect her lane/position.
I think that's why Cam's win in the men's was so much more impressive. He knew he had everyone covered in a fast race and didn't want to leave it to chance and potentially fall.
Clearly teaching race smarts aren’t a priority in the ON Australia crew, Peyton Craig will regret that one.
Sherika Jackson vibes back in the day in the 200m. That was devastating but. A huge Craig fan. For those who didn't see Peyton in his heat was 2nd and eased right up and high fived Bob on the line and got overtaken by a guy sprinting hard and missed the final😭😭😭
Great to see Reece getting his first national title in the 400m. A great finish with Luke nearly catching him. I thought Cooper might of done better, a little disappointing I'm sure.
Our relay team is looking good for world relays and CG

Lollll Lachy just said he will see how his body is and whether he will compete in the 200m tomorrow. A second later 7 is promoting Lachy v Gout tomorrow 😅
