If he was kicked off for doping, he is ineligible to compete at other NCAA schools.
Obviously random posters on letsrun don't know the exact details of the situation, but you're wrong about this, as far as we're aware he was just caught with the substances not actually testing positive for them so he hasn't been formally banned. I don't like how clevenger and the few people defending him deny the allegations but don't actually offer up any explanation for what's going on, it really takes away any credibility they have because it makes it seem like they're afraid to tell the truth

He wasn’t planning on using the EPO he ordered in his name and had delivered to his grandfather’s house, he was only buying it to ensure that others wouldn’t buy it, thereby creating an unfair advantage for themselves.
I am someone that is tangentially affected by him currently competing. I don’t hate him at all. Not even a bit. I am just really sad for him.
If we give him absolute benefit of the doubt, how sad is it that someone is going to unbelievable lengths to sabotage this one person’s image and career? To have an entire sport rooting against you just because someone has such grudge that they would create sophisticated deepfake images to frame you… that must feel terrible. He’d have a great case for lawsuits and this will actually be a groundbreaking case in the laws surrounding AI. He also has now has the opportunity to publicly address any false accusations. Even if it seems unfair to have to publicly address it, at this point, it’s the right thing to do.
On the other hand, I feel really sad for him because current evidence indicates that he has cheated and is still cheating. Even if he gets away with his alleged actions, his running career will end someday. As good as he is performing right now, he's not good enough to make much money off the sport, will probably never make a national team, and never transfer back to D1 and be a D1 All-American. He will never have the tangible success or status that someone who starts doping so desperately craves.
He will have to know that he cheated just to hold records in a Division in which no one has a scholarship, almost no-one has an NIL deal, and everyone is competing for the “love of the game”. He will always know that he cheated to chase status in a Division that doesn’t have any status.
I am mad, however, at the Rowan coaching staff. At best, you are willfully ignoring incredibly blatant red flags and are unwilling to give anyone a reason to believe you. At worst, you are complicit in allowing someone to put their long term health at risk just to have a shot to win a dinky little trophy and say you were the best track team in 2026 in a division that prides itself on students that “turn pro in something other than sports”.
What’s the shtick? No one can be accused unless they are on live video, holding today’s newspaper in one hand, and a syringe in the other?
Exactly. See Shelburrito: even a positive test for roids isn't good clear for some trolls here, even though her lame burrito excuse got laughed out of town for several reasons.

"a positive test for roids isn't good clear" even for WADA -- see their WADA TD.

Can we get this website to use their investigative journalism on this story already? Is it possible? I'd love to just know the truth about what is going on here.
This can all be over. if he were to just address the allegations/his dismissal from isu publicly he wouldnt have to have his friends + himself on 4 different burner accounts defending himself on this thread
You are hilarious. If he wroteva statement asking people to stop msking false claims and stating that he had never sold drugs nor taken them, the attacks would double.

Maybe the real reason he got kicked out is even more embarrassing and he prefers to deal with EPO rumours.
So we can speculate about that instead (given lack of clarity)
IF Seth was innocent, he would be talking to everyone to prove his innocence. Jonathan Gault asked both him and his coaches for comment at BU and both declined. If that's not an admission of guilt, I don't know what is.
The most interesting thing about that regarding Rowan coaches wishing not to speak on it, is that neither Seth nor his coaches will be able to dismiss anything when at Nationals. What would happen when you are stuck in the Crossplex and cannot escape media or other coaches/athletes?

I am not directly affected, but my teammate is.
Seth is ranked #1 in 4 events (if you include the DMR). My teammate, as well as others in direct contention for these events has to wonder which Seth will enter, whether to avoid him or not, whether Seth will even get to compete, etc.
To my teammate, as well as many others in D3, the nationals meet is extremely important to them. For some doper coming down from D1 to be such a factor in their minds is already very upsetting. For him to possibly get to run/win any events (and steal Alex Phillips/Chasen Hunt's records) is even worse.
If you were Alex or Chasen right now, would you not feel completely robbed? If you were to cross second behind Seth in the 3k at nationals, would you feel okay about that?
To many, this is somewhat of a background problem- who cares about d3 anyways? Well there's hardworking, deserving athletes that are getting their records stolen, going to finish right behind him at nationals, etc. To some, this is legitimately impacting their lives.
While I am upset that Clevenger is more than likely doping, the d3 people on this thread are kind of ridiculous. As a d3 runner, you must surely realize how little things like championships matter--I say this as a d3 guy myself. So what that a doped up 13:3x guy transferred to d3, it could just as easily be a clean 13:3x guy! Look at all the studs Hopkins gets every year! Screw Clevenger for cheating sure but who cares if he wins a fake title. The point of d3 is to improve and have fun.
That is simply not true, what about bad D1/D2 programs? Do you really think their goal is to go pro or go become an All-American? No! I am sure that plenty of kids that go to bad D1 programs just do it because they get to be known as D1, they get to improve, and get to have fun. It is the same mentality across all divisions to a certain degree.
