Replying to the post above about Sarah Vaughan being the real winner,
Just to play devils advocate, how do you know if she’s not doping. Former miler with four kids comes back at 38 years old and top America in New York three weeks after running Chicago??
Just to make a point, I actually don’t think she’s doping.

I'm watching the ESPN2 broadcast on my TV, and the TCS App on my phone, and I live on the other side of the country.
Great to hear. But I installed the app and literally could only see a view of the finish line
I don't know if this was the problem, but when you go into the TCS App, select Pro Race Livestream (in case you selected Course Cameras). Livestream lets you select full-time views of M wheelchair, W wheelchair, M open, and W open. If you didn't have those options, then I don't know what happened. Update app?
Obviously this is more for future reference rather than today, but hopefully your experience is better next time.
Really great interview with Nageeye just now! One of the best I've ever seen post-marathon. Lots of energy, great explanation of how he was feeling/thinking, converted to miles for us, etc. Very happy for him.
It was a mistake as Nageeye is an Olympic medalist on marathon and already finished in top 3 in NYC (2022). He won Rotterdam marathon this year in 2:04.
I agree. The American men and women seem to be falling further and further behind the world. Especially the men.
Speaking of disappointing American men apparently Klecker is running. Interesting though that you can’t find his name on the tracking list in the app. What name is he using to hide himself and why? You can run but you can’t hide 🤣
So how did Klecker do? Or is that OAC top secret ?

It was a great interview because he was really excited to have won (his first major marathon win after being close before.
Also he did not seem that tired and was energetic after the race (he said he felt great).
It was also great as he speaks excellent english.
Felt sort of bad for him as they seemingly cut his interview short because he was talking so much giving good answers.
The thing about thr NYC marathon is this; Ii is a course that wasn't meant to set World Records. WORLD record words are set in Chicago. NEW York is just about getting a nice little pay day. That's it.
At best THE NY city marathon can be defined as a nice family get together marathon, But by no means is the NY city Marathon World class and neither is the Boston Marathon. The original designers o mf the course never meant to create the fastest marathon in the World. So the slow times are understandable.
And the elite athletes invited ti run the NYC marathon were there to collect a paycheck not to set a World record. All the other stuff about setting a course record is nonsense. Just remember the elite athletes are there to create the illusion of a fast marathon, but in reality they are there just to collect a paycheck.
