Right. He is the poor sap that Trump used to sort and label all the folders multiple times for Trump and Trump used him to lie to everyone including his own lawyers. He knows what was in the boxes that went to NJ and are still missing. The bigger picture is that Trump likely sold secret defense items for personal gain. You know, stuff that traitorous spies do. DOJ has not and can't reveal the documents that are still stolen. Nor their content.

It wasn't necessarily nefarious.

I favor the "shiny object" hypothesis.

Trump kept this stuff and hid it precisely because it was forbidden. A big part of his personna and appeal is not conforming to "establishment" boundaries.

A US President with the self-control of a 3yr old, and this is the best case.

Questions that Christie, Hutchinson and any other GOP candidates with a spine will ask:

"Why did you take these specific documents?"
"Why did you hide them when asked to return these documents?"

These are *facts*, which are both felonies as it is. Do Us voters want a felon as president? They're cool with that?

I fail to see how any serious US voter could see this and not be outraged with DJT.

It's very hard to square these statements:

"We can't have someone in the Oval Office who doesn't understand the meaning of the word confidential or classified."

"One of the first things we must do is to enforce all classification rules and to enforce all laws relating to the handling of classified information."

"More broadly, the issue of Clinton's security clerance raises larger questions about the practice of former officials maintaining access to our Nation's most sensirive secrets long after their time in Government has ended. Such access is particularly inappropriate when former officials have transitined into highly partisan positions and seek to use real or perceived access to sensitive information to validate their political attacks."

"Lock her up! Lock her up!"

Can anyone reconcile the Trump public statements with the photo of Trump's baffroom?

At least one answer to that question is in the Indictment. There is information of incredible value in the documents that Trump stole and hid. At a minimum, it was information Trump could use against his perceived enemies.

For example, page 15 has Trump using classified information against a high-ranking U.S. military member (presumably General Milley). Trump hated the guy. Holding up a secret classified document: "This was him. This wasn't done by me, this was him."

So he wanted the documents at least so he could leverage the information against others for political purposes.

Trump is not a real person when he is on stage and giving speeches. Like at rallies. It is an act that he is quite talented at. While most see it as pure bloviating hubris. A good amount of people believe it for some reason. And he knows that. It is a fool’s errand to try to reconcile what Trump says in his stage act vs what he does.

There was an import tell when Trump was questioned why he said it is wrong to use tge debt ceiling to negotiate budgets while he was President. Then flip flopped and said the GOP should default.

He simply admitted that he said it because he was president at the time. in other words “ I will say whatever I want at any time just to benefit myself”. It does not matter whatsoever if it is true. Nor if I said the opposite at another time.

He cannot be shamed whatsoever. He is like a 5 year old child that has no concept of why he might want to be truthful.

I am sure the special counsel is following the money. This has a magical ability to lead to the truth regarding criminal behavior. I have no doubt it will lead to the truth of Trumps obsession with keeping these top secret files.

with this in mind, ask yourself why the Saudis immediately after Trump lost thought Jerod Kushners new fund would be a good place to invest 2billion. Jerod Kushner has no fund experience or expertise.

The law requires that older electronic devices (computers, blackberrys, phones) that are being replaced with newer models be physically destroyed. Smashing them with a hammer is an acceptable method. Hillary was following the law.

Trump was right about his followers (you). He knew you would be loyal and believe him regardless of any proof presented. And regardless of what crimes he committed. You fall into that 20% of GOP that is entirely gone. There is nothing that will ever bring you back to reality. Having a discussion with you is like hoping to have one with a roadside Trump merchandise seller. or a rally attender.

well, considering i have the evidence on my side when you nut cases tried to frame him for Russia Collusion, then id say you have the explaining to do, not me. i follow the facts. trump means nothing to me, democracy does and you are throwing that out the window to get your way like feeble little children.

Mueller Report resulted in convictions for conspiracy against the US by Rick Gates, obstruction by Stone and Papadopoulos and Flynn, and Manafort for a bunch of stuff. 7 people convicted or plead guilty.

I would say that the Mueller Report DOES document 'collusion' between Trump campaign and Russia. Read the first few pages -- very interesting! But 'collusion' is not a charge. Conspiracy is the charge. And Mueller did not find clear evidence of that. Maybe because of all the obstruction?
