I give a LOT of blame for the environment that HELPED lead to Trump to the Democrats. Democrats have become the part of the elite, and that does NOT sit well with those who aren't and never will be economically or educationally elite. The "free college" mantra is the biggest driver of that. Indirectly tells those who aren't college material, that they aren't valued.

I would prefer free non-college job training, or substantial tax breaks for people in the service industry or trades. The working class and the lower and middle class need to be brought into the fold...right now they have been excluded more than at any time since before unions were formed.

I'm not saying I have it all worked out. I'm only saying that some pretty prominent lawyers are saying that at this point this is his best option...that could POSSIBLY mean ONLY that they see his current path a very bad one and so he has to do some sort of hail mary to try to get a better situation for himself.

Prosecutors like JUSTICE, not necessarily jail time. Does a forced resignation and perhaps dissolution of The Trump Organization spell justice to them? Also, like you said, bargaining to avoid a trial, AND he has to admit guilt.

I think Trump is going to have to try something. He very well could spend the rest of his life in jail if he doesn't (though I am still not at this point predicting jail time...however, I MAY change my tune on that).

Trump's father, Fred, suffered from severe dementia in his latter years. Dementia does not suddenly become severe. It starts slowly and gets worse over a long period of time. Fred's severe dementia is known about during his final 5-10 years of life. But his dementia would already have been apparent some 20 years before—in his 70s. Apparent at least to close family members, who would keep very quiet about it. Well, Trump is about the same age when his father's dementia would have started. Dementia is a disease which can be hereditary; which seems to be the case with Trump.

I doubt even you believe that to be true. I don't hate Trump voters. I care about every person in the country who is not actively an enemy of the state. I am sad that there are people who think Trump cares about them, but that is not hate. In fact, it's not even pity. I also don't think it is reasonable or accurate to say the media hates Trump. Advertising for the commercial news media has never been higher because ratings are high. Even the less main stream press, the fringe publications that are doing the nuts and bolts reporting on the true implications of Trump's government--they are doing well. So, Trump has been good for the media in terms of showing us how important a role they play in our society. And as for your assertion about "hillary lovers" ... don't confuse someone who voted for her with love or even respect. If I was standing on a platform and with someone holding a gun to my head who said "jump" and I had a choice of molten lava or a tub full of horse manure, I would choose the horse manure every time. That doesn't mean I love horse manure.

We have talked about this before. There is no legal mechanism that includes resignation as part of any deal. The parties wouldn't even be able to talk about it.

I'm far from a HRC lover, but I'll bite. I'm for justice, decency, honesty, competence, etc. Trump is a criminal and a horrible human being. But, yes, at this point, with all we know about Trump, I have no patience for his supporters. If a fraction of this had become public about Obama, you'd be trying to lynch him. And this is not some deep state conspiracy. Only idiots believe such sh*t.

And today was another bad day for Trump and his supporters, including the NRA. Bad, bad day and it's going to get much worse over the coming weeks. We're just seeing the tip of the iceberg.

Even Obama did to an extent. He had a blue collar background and spoke eloquently in a way that connected with all sorts of people. Dems can't just stand up and promise free training to those people in WV or eastern Kentucky or wherever. You gotta promise them that stuff without sounding like an ass too

Actually, the REAL source of hatred is mind control by LIZARD PEOPLE!!!!!

I believe in two things at the moment.

The first is that I think he 100% thinks he's innocent. That's what narcissists do. He just believes all his own lies and honestly thinks everyone is out to get him despite the fact that he's so great.

The second is that Chevy Bolts are still a stupid car

1) Change of the DOJ policy will require the AG's approval. William Barr is not going to give that.

2) The House Democrats can introduce whatever they want, but it won't go anywhere as long as the Republicans control the Senate. And even if there are some defections in the Senate, the President can veto it. (And you don't have a veto-proof majority in either House.)

3) He can be indicted after leaving the office. But that does not stop the next President from pardoning him after indictment. He can be pardoned even after the conviction, although conviction is highly likely.

4) If he wins re-election, and his Republican successor wins in 2024, he does not have to resign to get pardoned. And if a Democrat wins either in 2020 or 2024, he can resign between the election day and inauguration so that Pence can pardon him. There is no reason to resign prematurely.

5) Any speculation over state level prosecution is just that, speculation.
