"I thought we had all agreed to pretend not to have any negative opinions about Islam. But this statement forces me either to agree with it, which I don’t, or disagree with it, which I’m not allowed to".
I know I'm late but I just saw the clips of Trump speaking at the Knesset. He admits how his foreign policy is dictated by Miriam Adelson and even says she cares about Israel more than America. Can someone explain how this is putting America first?
It's putting Israel first. There are unfortunately many Jewish people with significant power in American politics that place their loyalties to Israel far above any loyalty or oaths they may have taken for America. And that goes back many decades and many administrations. Jewish/Zionist influence on American politics is not just some conspiracy or thought crime dreamt up by anti-Semites or even by Mersheimer. It's very real and powerful (and also harmful).
As one British diplomat prominently leaked about Scooter Libby: "It's difficult on any given day to know whether he's working for America or for Israel."
The list of Israel loyalists in America is enormous and ranges back from Brandeis to Kissinger to jerks like Lieberman, Weinberger and Dershowitz to modern day jagoffs like Kushner and Stephen Miller. Does anyone really believe Stephen Miller is dedicated to American interests? Come on.
It is what it is. And there is certainly the moral imperative to support Israel (Holocaust, endless Islamic terrorism like Hamas). But in terms of economic and geo-political power, the bizarre, undue influence this creepy, quasi-sh!thole country has on us is a huge continuing loss ($$$$$$) for Americans.

Does anyone know what he thinks he's getting at when he does this? I'm usually pretty good at deciphering what retards and whackjobs mean, but I'm baffled by this cryptic "Islam was right about [insert]" bit/schtick. It's a head scratcher.

this is false.
the reason the Republicans do whatever Israel asks is that the right wing political Christians want it that way. They want the holy land in the hands of Jews, not Muslims. The right wing Christians see the historical narrative being that the holy land first belongs to Jews, then it gets handed over to the Christians.
Having Israel be owned by Muslims is contrary to fundamental right wing christianity.
it's not the american jews. It's the american christians.
Libt@rds want to censor, doxx, and ruin the futures of 30-something year old young conservative men for locker room banter, it really is incredible. Although if yore a libt@rd and fail to appropriately mourn Charlie Kirk you deserve to have your whole life ruined because that is completely different!

That's not accurate. Around 25 years ago, Evangelicals did have a "come to Jesus" moment and started believing or emphasizing what you allege above, and then advancing it as a new GOP policy. But the pro-Israel influence on America was provided for decades prior to that by Jewish-Americans, and it has continued along side that Evangelical change of heart. So I disagree with your idea that there are not many powerful Jews in America placing Israel loyalties above any American loyalties they may have. There are, and I named some of them. And while Evangelicals have certainly become pro-Israel for Biblical reasons, they are not necessarily placing loyalty to Israel over loyalty to America. They aren't, in fact.

huh? American jews aren't placing loyalty to israel over loyalty to america. Why do you think when jews support israel it is vaguely non-patriotic, but when christians support israel that's just christians being christians and nothing un-patriotic? Come on.
Sure, there are some generous US jewish donors.
but there are hardly any jews.
The people who vote are the ones who count, and the right wing christians vote A LOT and there are tens of millions of them. These right wing christians have absolutely zero tolerance for any politician who places muslims over Judeo-Christians.
By the way, in 2020 Politico refused to publish the texts between Hunter Biden and his attorney George Mesires. Hunter refers to Mesires as "n*gga" repeatedly and says, "n*gga you better not be charging me Hennesy rates." Politico thinks we've memory-holed that episode.
Hunter Biden never held political office. But my guess is if he said that he might easily walk into a Republican Senate seat and receive an invite into MAGA. Are you trying to boost his popularity among MAGA with that sh!t?
