I don't think it is reasonable to say Mimi's crew was stretched too thin. Mimi has the same number or more people on her crew than Sandra does.

I am still open to reviewing all of Mimi's video footage from her film crew, which could so easily end the questions but I suspect we will never get anything from Mimi or her team.

I didn't see anyone here say they hate Mimi ever, nor anyone saying they hope she doesn't recover. To the contrary, all the hate came from her and her followers, toward people legitimately trying to follow them.

All the evidence points to them cheating, and there is zero evidence they made any legitimate progress, other than a few 15 second videos of Mimi walking, and having trouble climbing a few steps.

Finally, sure I hope she recovers completely and can walk again, keeping in mind that THEY are the ones who brought on her injuries.

Wrong. I know you were late to this thread but if you'd bothered reading it from the start you would know that the sleuths were initially suspicious of Sandy and confident in Mimi. It was only analysis of the data that roused suspicions. The behaviour of Mimi's crew then compounded those suspicions. The rest is LR history, which I hope will be presented in a report by scam watcheroo.

If you look at my posts from the beginning of this thread, you will see that I was actually one of the people saying Mimi's run is legitimate before all this evidence surfaced.

You haven't followed this thread from the beginning. No one was questioning Mimi's credentials at the outset, she was considered a "legit" ultra-runner. Indeed the consensus was way more skeptical of Sandy's capabilities.If Mimi had an injury issue early or even from the beginning, cheating could be their method of coping with adversity. We'll likely never know. Either way it was an uninspiring effort, thanks especially to the mishandling by her crew.

That's just plain stupid. Now Sandy will run herself into the ground because she thinks she can beat Mimi and keeps pushing 60+ mile days.

Yeah, it is weird, but since Sandy's doing so well the team probably doesn't want to change anything.

I may have missed this earlier in the thread: Is Sandy doing this as an official Guinness record attempt like Mimi, or is it more like an FKT attempt?

I like that her crew isn't telling her about Mimi. As Pete, Markus, and the Geezers have said, you literally have no time to do anything but run, eat, and sleep. Any negative distraction or disruption can be a dealbreaker. I imagine Sandy is on a razor's edge by this point.

Project Update:

Very sad news to report: after days of agony and several hospital visits, Mimi has taken the incredibly tough decision to withdraw from her World Record attempt. Understandably, she's absolutely devastated having run for over 40 days and clocked up a whopping 2,142.2 miles, but in spite of her unbelievable tolerance for pain she found out today that knee is severely damaged and to continue would have lasting repercussions in the future

We’ve attached a little montage of her incredible journey to give the tiniest taste of what Marvellous Mimi has achieved so far. Who else after so many miles and experiencing such excruciating pain could still come out smiling? She really is Marvellous and it’s been such an honour to follow her journey.

Scrumptious Productions is still 100% committed to the campaign and cannot thank you enough for all your support so far. This show will definitely go on however we just need to take the time alongside Mimi to take stock and see how best to move forward and keep on moving with the legend that is!

In your report, if you suspect cheating will you be identifying which method was used?Method 1 - a well established ultra runner with numerous verified results who has dreamt of breaking the transcon record happens to meet someone who is able to fake data on Strava and on movescount and make it appear it came from a Suunto watch (some of which, but not all, you have managed to do yourself). She decides this will be much easier than running and convinces a team of people to accompany her on the scam. Method 2 - Having spent 2 years preparing for the transcon the runner arrives in the States and then says to her crew “I’m not sure I can actually do this now so I was wondering if one of you could run for me for a week or two and if those pesky LR kids start meddling, I’ll take over” and the crew say “yeah sure no problem”. Will you also be mentioning the fact that the three people who have commented on this thread who have actually run or very nearly run this journey (James Adams, Pete Kostelnickn and Markus) have not questioned Mimi’s integrity or suggested she hasn’t run all she says she has? Also that there have been no boots on the ground from the geezers this time because none of them nor anyone on the ultralist have ever questioned the legitimacy of this run? Clearly some of the PR has not been the greatest but Strava runs have been uploaded for every day, so if you think there is anything fake about the run you will have to opt for one of the methods above, both of which have been insinuated on this thread
