I think BLM is also likely to fail much like Occupy Wall Street - people sense that something is wrong with a legitimately corrupt institution but it isn't clear or unified on what to do to make things better.

literally the day after I bought a first tranche of shares, it fell 6%.

With free transactions it's easier to leg into positions so I have a few more buys to make.

But no, I did not buy shares after they fell 6%. I waited for them to recover so I could buy higher.

I think one of the problems with CROX is that I’m not sure what the exit strategy is. I’m not sure if they’re making anything innovative or if it’s just cyclical where sometimes the fad picks up and dies down once grandpas get in on buying crocs. I felt like that’s what happened back in mid 2000s when it was super popular but when my in laws started wearing them, I knew the dad would die down. However, I’m not real sure about what Crocs is doing now as well as I wouldn’t be surprised if it would continue to go up. Just not sure when to get out. I prefer buying stocks where I’m comfortable holding for a long time.

BLM has done zero good for agip’s and Seattle's hometowns. Same for Minneapolis and Atlanta. Name one thing, and I can come up with three negatives. Not surprising the Seattle female Black Chief of Police says “take this job and shove it.” Or, people who can, pack and get out. Not my problem, fortunately there are plenty of people that have moved here from urban areas that have a similar view. Simply stated they don’t want to live in places that are crime infested, tax burdened, and poorly administered. Has nothing to do race or politics.

I think most people who leave liberal places like Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or other liberal places are conservatives to begin with. Some conservatives fear that Texas will turn blue with so many Californians moving there, but it’s mostly conservative Californians moving to Texas.

So, country will be more and more politically divided, but i don’t think it’s the worst thing to happen as people generally like to hang out with like minded people and get tiring of arguing.

Even though I don’t agree with all of the protests and some of the liberal agendas, I much prefer it over being around conservatives as it gets tiring with some of the nonsense. Case in point, some of the topics Jamin brings to this board.

Also, since this is stocks thread, have made much more money living in liberal state over living in a red state with earnings as well as investment style.

I find liberals tend to do the most arguing. Anyway, most of my friends I hang around with are liberals. In fact I can’t think of one who is a conservative. Everyone of them will vote for Biden, several have a somewhat negative view of BLM, but will keep that opinion to themselves. Afraid to be labeled a racist. Texas is not monolithic. South Texas heavy Democratic, same with Austin. Republican strong holds in Houston and West Texas. I would think BLM would find support with SJWs in Austin, but distain among Latinos in South Texas, and most of the rest of the state outside the inner city.

I’m starting to think that conservatives do all of the arguing as I tend to disagree with their views more. And someone who is conservative may think liberals do all of the arguing as they disagree with their views. I dunno, that’s just my thought.

OK. Go to the Trump thread and look for yourself. I think you see the same in most media. It seems unrelenting to me, daring one to argue. The financial writers I have posted here (John Hussman and Northmantrader) consistently tag something back to Trump. Kind of annoying. Same thing here. Yet if anything has influenced the markets, social unrest, and economic inequality it is the Federal Reserve. But the Bulls all ignore that as their pockets are full with ill gotten gains. I suppose some guilt derived motivation to claim the superiority of their moralistic support for BLM.

The Democratic Party historically was aligned with the Klan. As far as what happened in Charlottesville, I believe the Democratic Governor of Virginia is the only politician proven to have adorned black face. There is no sense arguing, that is why I avoid the Trump thread.

Trump asked for russian help, welcomed it when it came, watched a coverup happen, fired the people investigating the incidents, pardoned the people caught doing the cover up and then said he'd do it again. What exactly is the hoax? He did all this.
