Sandy has 1000 miles to go and that is a loooong way. It's over when it's over but not one inch before that.

How can you make a comment such as "you are not getting 8 hours of sleep out of 10 hours of rest"? How in the world do you actually know if Sandy is getting 8 hours of sleep or some other number? Are you in the RV's bedroom with her every night?

My guess is you're just drawing from your own experience (whatever that may be) and applying it to Sandy (the classic "n of 1" mistake).

It's a tough decision to make. Mimi would have started walking already if she could. Obviously that is not possible. They put a lot of effort into this run and now it is probably over.

It's been a very difficult decision, that really has become outside my control, but I must today announce that I am ending my attempt to run across America. The MRI scan has revealed significant damage to my right knee and lower back and all medical advice has been that I must rest for an extended period of time.
