So Tim Walz was elected governor in 2018 and carjackings jumped almost 300% in a couple of years. What was he doing to stop the carjackings? Allow the carjackers to be released with no bond or bail? I am not sure I would want this guy as the VP.

Technically the electors could pick whoever they want and ignore the will of the people but that's not how American elections have been run 200+ years.

Jackson earned the rank and retired a Rear Admiral.

Walz was never a Sergeant Major. He wasn't "DEMOTED" he never actually held the rank because he never went to school for it.

There were 363.9 violent crimes per 100,000 people in 2019 which was lower than 2018, which was lower than 2017. As of 2022 crime is still higher than 2019 and the data isn't in yet for 2023.
