pretty sure it said that it will be released by 3:00pm EST
the selection call started at 9. its a 3-5 hour job. the letsrun d3 jvs don't need that long but fortunately the people making the decisions are more careful about it

over who?
Middlebury. No chance that they get in.
Middlebury has to get in. Carleton auto qualified out of the Central, and Midd beat them handily last month. They also got 3rd at their conference meet and beat a few teams that beat them yesterday. Santa Cruz's best case is that they were close against Emory and Case at Louisville, but they did not beat them. I don't think they beat a single qualifying team the whole year. If they get in, Midd absolutely will, too.

I'll take Lawler to repeat for the women. Mens is pretty unpredictable. I guess I'd place a small bet on Aidan Ryan.

Do you think they deserved it over Santa Cruz? It had to be between those two.
UCSC gets to nationals because they paid to fly to Louisville and lose to every half-decent team there.

Wow, #16 ranked St. Thomas and #24 St. Olaf got shafted in the Central region. Why would they pick unranked RIT?
Rankings mean nothing. They have no influence on selection.

Why would they pick RIT at all? They had no wins this year outside the region (same as in years past when they were left out).
Loras getting beat by everyone at the inter-region rumble didn't help the region and st. thomas/st. olaf cause. Guess it's more important to peak in October than November
I won’t be at the USTFCCCA convention, but would like to see some type of proposal detailing each step of the selection committee’s justifications as to why at-large team 1, 2, 3...etc went in the order that they did.
I know the outline for their reasons is in the regional packet but I would like to see how each team was picked in the order and the meet/point gap that got them in.
Yes, I was on a team on the wrong side of this draw and do understand it isn’t easy to pick 16 but would like to know the exact reason why or why not a team was selected.
Easiest solution, just run faster next year
