Is it an accurate summary to conclude that the argument is whether being a stern, demanding coach is an acceptable reason for touching athletes in unwanted manner? And whether socialization with the athletes is a reasonable excuse for getting drunk with them and screaming at them?
I’d have trouble doing better in just two sentences. So yeah, for me that’s an accurate summary.

Nope. Not even close. We're dealing with an abusive coach that has destroyed the running careers of about half of the athletes that came to Washington.
UW can do much better than Greg. Weight shaming and verbal abuse aside, if you want to demand that athletes not damage their performance by drinking and partying on the weekends, it helps if the coach leads by example.
Greg was drunk at every party I ever saw him at when he was an athlete, so stories of his continued party boy style don't surprise me.
