And this is also not just a DAL (their league). A majority of the known DAL schools have always been to Arcadia, and Campo never being there is ironic because they’re quite literally the best school in the DAL.
looking at the arcadia invite updated entries for 3200 I don't like the decision to move fitchen young from the 3200 seeded to the invite heat. There were around 15 guys in the seeded with better personal bests than fitchen young many whom have placed higher at national meets. Vince Recupero was moved down for that whom had a 8:47 3200 time. Recupero placed top 10 in national meets and his personal best is almost 10 seconds faster than youngs. All I can say is it doesn't feel fair.
Lol Rich G fair? He plays favorites. He looks at which teams pay the $1k entry fee. Across all events seeded runners have better marks than invite runners. But ya can't say anything to Rich. He luvs brozzie.

Vince Recupero moved down to Seeded head? Absolutely not, this is ridiculous. He has been performing consistently well since his sophomore year and literally placed 8th in his last national meet in the fall. Huge mistakes and very disappointing on Rich's part.

I'm sorry but Broen Holman over Vince Recupero is insane lmao

In the very few cases when an athlete has been moved to a slower heat after the initial seeding in the past, it was always because the athlete requested it (not quite healthy, more rest for another event, run with a teammate, etc). Why are you so sure this isn't the case here?

you know what, your probably right. I think I just jumped on a wrong assumption. It doesn't really make any sense there are slower runners to switch out
I would’ve put Isaac Abbott and Yosef Berhan before Broen tbh- brodies lowk washed rn
Unfortunately, yes. There is a good chance Holman doesn't even break 9 minutes at Arcadia. I feel bad for him. Is overtraining the issue? Perhaps he's peaked and is plateauing now? I hope he gets out of this.

I think he’s aging. It happens as you get older. You start slowing down.
How is Aydon Stefanopoulos in the seeded heat but Broen Holman and Eli Fitchen-Young are in the invitational heat? He beat Holman by 5 seconds in the 3200m and lost to Fitchen-Young by literally LESS than a second in the 3200m at D.D.F.

Broen is damn near 20. As I’ve said, compared to people who are at high school age, they’re still developing/possibly beginning to peak. Broen (in terms of competing against high schoolers) has already hit his peak. He only runs 14:46 consistently, and in states he ran 14:57. He barely got into the top 20 at the footlocker west regionals. Broen is already past his peak. There are special cases (like Dameworth and Steurzy), but those athletes who usually get held back don’t really tend to go far in college.
3rd 3200 Theo Udelson-Nee Isaac Faynsod Finn Babbitt Grant Miller JR Lesher Dylan Flores Noel Huato Oliver Hunter Conor Lott Daniel Reza Zion Ortiz Christian Weber 2nd 3200 Max Douglass Trey Caldwell Isaac Abbott Aydon Stefanopoulos Maximo Zavaleta Tyler Daillak Yosef Berhan Paul Tranquilla 1st 3200 Landon Petre Evan Noonan Eli Fitchen Young Broen Holman Eyan Turk
My hopes are that Noah or Lott can finish top 5 in 3rd heat probably around 8:55ish, aydon can finish top 5 in 2nd heat 8:47ish and Noonan can finish in the top 10 in the last heat hopefully breaking 8:40. What do you guys think about my predictions?
Like haven’t y’all noticed that the Woodward park times at state that were faster than Broen’s were all done by people younger than him (Turk- August 2006, Pretre- 2007, Fitchen-Young- 2007, Lesher- 2007, Noonan- 2007, Kushen- 2007, Caldwell- 2007, Miller- 2007, Cook- late 2006, Bouie- 2007). Broen is November 2005, he should already be in his first year of college.
All these years were collected by athletic.net. Just going by what the age is displayed during their xc season. Definitely not the most accurate but accurate enough to paint the picture.
