Cooper Barr (Placer) winning the Sierra Invitational senior race in 9:58. If you’re from the SJS, you know a sub-10 on that course is uber impressive considering how hilly the course is. Peter Kendal 2nd in 10:05 (Kendall ran 4:14, 9:23, and 15:31). Look out for Barr this season
Only runners (that ik of) who’ve been able to pull of such a feat was Braden King (Jesuit ‘22- 4:12, 8:57, 15:15) and Devin Pereria (Rocklin ‘23- 4:16, 9:06, 15:43) both legit names in the SJS
That can happen when you pick up a freshman who is already running with the top 2. He ran 9:39 on a 2 mile course today at the Rio Mesa Invite. They still have a huge gap to #4-5, so it will be very hard to win large races.
Beckman also picked up one the better 8th graders from last year, although he ran as 10th grader today. Might be an age thing, or they wanted to give him some competition. He is in the opposite situation, since Beckman returns 7 guys under 10 (actually 8 if you count an unattached result), making varsity this year will be very difficult. But what a great training group to be in.
I would think since Rich mentioned Sigworth he knows where he is going (I sure don't), but both athletic.net and milesplit have Sigworth on the Palisades roster, not Palos Verdes. Those things can be wrong, but that's why I checked both. Anyone know for absolute certain?

Sometimes a name is left on these rosters even if that person leaves the team, unless that person graduated
Gotta respect them for being the first D5 team to make NXN though. But yes, they won’t be up there like they were last year. They are losing 3 scorers. Oaks Christian and Glendora will be in the same situation
There’s a documentary about Menlo 2024 that came out this summer
