The question is: When (if) he'll RTN to the USA? I think his green card is still valid, only 5 months absence. If not, he can petition. Dude's not a real criminal (anger management issues/bi polar, on the spectrum, I'm guessing) - move on.

Mixed results for Matt. The ones happy with his coaching, including Irish runner who improved massively to 2:24:00 liked his plans. As always, more of the comments come from people with axe to grind. Matt is human - good points, and less good can be found. Dude helped some people. Move on please.

If you think it's OTT then you simply haven't done your research or you are happy for certain individuals to treat multiple other individuals abhorrently as long as they are fastish runners or post on YouTube.

You may be right, and many of us tend to "forgive" people of their misgivings if we view them as elite or famous. My bad, if that's the case. However, for perspective, this thread was basically 99% negative about Matt. Was he (is he) that bad? Balance needed.

The US, even before this presidential administration, wasn't going to allow someone in the country on an extraordinary ability visa back into the country after they were charged with drug trafficking.

"Drug trafficking" - I thought he brought the cannabis edibles to Japan for his personal use? In that case it would be crazy (unless mistaken) to charge him with drug trafficking, which sounds like drug peddling or selling for profit which Matt was not involved in. Am I missing something?
Anyway,it's done and dusted now, he's back in OZ, and let's hope he doesn't face obstacles should he want to return to the US.
