If you'd told me ESP would drop a 3:55 before the race I'd have bet good money she won. Also .01s pb for her to run 3:59.99 lol the thinnest of margins.
And to be fair, Johnson only ran .75 off her pb, not 2s slower. Also McGee and Cranny 3:57s still less than 2s slower. Although now I'd bet ESP can run 3:54 low.

It’s not that everyone will gain 2s on you it’s that at least one person will. I don’t blame ESP, but it’s just why this new revolutionary way to run the 1500 is far from the only way to do it.
