Since Wolfe only has a 13:13, and the final is unlikely to be fast, no real path for him to Paris, right? Even if he is able to crack Fisher/Woody/Cole.

Am I missing something or do we have some real idiots scheduled the events? Mens 200m 1st round, EVERYONE who was not a DNS or DQ qualified for the next round, except 2 guys. In the women’s 200m, every woman who was on the starting line from every heat qualified for the next round. What is the point of making the athletes run an extra pointless round and risk injury? Am I missing something here or is it just some boardroom exec wanting TV ratings?
The problem is not the number of rounds. They should have accepted more entries so that there were an appropriate number of athletes eliminated. The number of rounds is meant to replicate the Olympics.
Does anything epitomize track and field more than 4 200m heats just to eliminate no one. Really feels like a few HS meets I’ve been to
It's like the NHL in the 1980s and qualifying for playoffs
Fond memories of the Chuck Norris division and after 80 dirty games in the NHL one team was eliminated and possibly the 20th team in the league(in a 21 team league) made the playoffs.
