When you go onto the athlete profile pages on the World Aths website there is usually a 'Representative' tab. For example, if you go to Linden Hall's profile page the 'Representative' tab shows Ray Flynn.
On McSweyn's profile page there is no 'Representative' tab.
Someone here must know who, if anyone, manages McSweyn at the moment.
It's Nic, even though Nic is no longer a WA "Authorized Athlete Representative". Technically, everyone is listed under Collis Birmingham. Not sure why Stewy isn't. Nic is the agent, but everyone pretends he isn't so that he and AA can have plausible deniability about things like "conflict of interest". Nic used to get around this when Maurie Plant, the only person to ever serve zero years of a lifetime doping ban, was the nominal agent.
Good to see you're true to yourself and just negative about everything xx
I got excited when my favourite thread was resurrected but this was a let down.
Mixed bag for MTC on the weekend. Jack nailed it. Gen lucky a few other guns weren't there but pretty impressive so soon after Paris. JTW almost beat by the flying ladies.
Any news on where Diver is? That's an awefully long time to be off training due to cramps...
Perhaps she's fully in awe of this thread's length.
Not sure what Diver hopes to do but she isn't going to win many Australian races on the roads with Batt-Doyle, Pompeani, Stengrove running so well. She turns 48 soon so a great career but nothing last forever.
The MTC podcast (FTK) are back with their 'new and improved' main lineup, Robbo still salty over Andy's marathon record, Joel saying hes going to do a debut marathon for the 6th year running.
Interesting comment from Stewy after his 10k on the weekend. He's coming back from a big break after feeling burnt out after Paris. He said he considered retiring.
He's off to Europe now. Hoping they don't race him into the ground again. Surely he's hitting 5k and up. Roads?
McSweyn would definitely be aiming at the 5k given Hoare/Spencer/Myers are all looking pretty good. Qualifying times for World's are pretty decent though 13:01/27 flat. I can't see him running those times but he has proven the naysayers wrong before. Given the affection selectors had for him in Tokyo last year he really only needs one good race and should make the team.
