Tuck posted a rambling and subtlety angry vid yesterday about "truth" in the news. Pretty ironic. He conspicuously did not mention FOX or anyone associated with them or any pending lawsuits. Likely his termination was also a non disclosure / gag order in exchange for them not suing him for $1B+, so don't expect a "tell all" book or show. But do expect more angry rambling with no substance.
word on the street is that there is a detente between tucker and fox. Each has a thick file it can deploy against the other. Mutually assured destruction if they go after each other.
Earlier it was said that Tucker is horrible and deliberately lies. I don’t watch Tucker or any of the big news outlets. Can anyone provide any examples that are “unforgivable”? I know he did admit somewhat recently to being wrong about Iraq many years ago bc he was a team player over obtaining the facts. While that’s awful, should he be canceled for that now?

He was not fired for lying. He was fired for costing them 3/4 of a Billion with at least 3 other lawsuits pending for which he is at least partially to blame that total several billion more. FOX is fine with lying, but not billion dollar losses.
But as far as what damage is done by the lying? Well, a violent attack on the Capitol was a side effect of delusional people believing a lie that was fed to them almost nightly by Tuck. The constant lying paints neighbors as one dimensional enemies and makes people irrationally fear even normal interactions. It would not be surprising if the guy who shot the kid through his front door, or the guy who shot the kid who pulled into the wrong driveway were Tuck's regular viewers.

Go back and read this extensive thread on the subject, before coming in here pretending to be looking for easily and readily available information.

actually, apparently he was fired for saying mean things about Fox employees and owners.
the billion dollar settlement and upcoming lawsuits didn't help, that's for sure.

Much like GD who appears to be a follower although he/she/they deny.

We agree. Yes, that is what their statement said, though they have known about that for years. They also said they were committed to the highest levels of journalism (eye roll here). But they cannot admit publicly:
A. They knowingly let a host spout lies on the air everyday and were OK with it for years as long is it made them money. Even though the lawsuit clearly brought this to light, their viewers will either never know or ignore it.
B. They settled because there was irrefutable proof of (A) and they would have lost double if the trial had continued and even more evidence would have become public.
C. They are extremely likely to lose upcoming lawsuits that are directly related to TC and they need to stop the train wreck now rather than let him make it worse.
If they wanted to punish / humiliate TC and there was still money to be made from him, I bet Murdoch would just have TC lick the bottom of his shoe in full view of his entire staff while promising undying loyalty, or worse yet, fine him. Both men would have been happy with this outcome because their morals boil down to this: If it makes money, it is good. Otherwise it is bad.

it's much about money sure but Fox is a plaything of murdoch. So it gets personal sometimes. I think this got personal. Personal enough that it overrode the money. Apparently Fox ratings have dropped by half in tucker's slot...so the firing has cost Fox a lot of money, not saved it money.
Firing tucker now won't help the lawsuits either. So it's not just money.
Hundreds of thousands of Fox News viewers are reacting to Tucker Carlson's firing by abandoning the network in his old time slot — at least temporarily. Fox had 1.33 million viewers in the 8 p.m. Eastern hour on Wednesday, do...
It's been less than a week. He's good, but he's not Marilyn Monroe good. The stock price is back where it was when Carlson got ass-canned. Give the network a month to get someone else in there.
FOX Viewer logic: Main stream media is full of lies. They get news from an opinion show host that even FOX has repeatedly said is not the news. It is also the most popular cable current events / opinion show - in other words, it is mainstream media. The show and host caused FOX to lose 3/4 of a Billion so far with more losses coming for intentionally false statements. The trial evidence shows the FOX viewer that, in fact, the mainstream lies they complain about are what they are watching. They say "Woke conspiracy!" and move to an even less reputable news source - if that is even possible.
Freedom of speech is good. Freedom to sue for slander / libel is also good. Keep the lawsuits coming all of these so called "news" shows will no longer be profitable.
Tucker's two minute video posted on Wednesday now has over 75 million views. There is a massive appetite for truth. He will make hundreds of millions of dollars in his next venture and will be even freer to slay sacred cows. Libs, your celebration of his "demise" will be very short lived! Lol

I watched the video and I am not his type of viewer. It was information free. Most "libs" are not naive enough to think he is going away. Most "libs" are just stunned by the people who are given overwhelming evidence that he was constantly lying on air and did not even believe his own lies, yet they still say he speaks "truth".

Tucker showing the horned guy calmly walking around the Capitol on J6 with a police escort sent libs into fits apoplectic rage. How dare he blow up our "insurrection" lies! He exposed Saint Fauci for the devil he truly is, exploded the left's myths about Ukraine, etc. But on to the next chapter. Rumors he might team up with James O'Keefe. That would be beyond epic!

Yeah man there wasn't a lot to it but the point is it got 75 million views whereas primetime cable news shows are lucky to get 2million. That means like we've been saying he will have a Rogan-level audience as an independent media creator. And if Joe Rogan caused so much rage from the left just wait and see what Tucker will do.

The above part of your post reminded me of the stupidity of this reporting below. Congrats.
